Wave Browser - Surf the web. Save the ocean.

byโ€ข
Wave Browser is a web browser built to help clean our ocean. Through a certified partnership with 4ocean, everyday browsing helps fund the removal of plastic and trash from our ocean, rivers, and coastlines. Wave works like a modern, full-featured browser โ€” no extra steps, no behavior changes โ€” just browse as usual and support verified ocean cleanup with every session. ๐ŸŒŠ

Outstanding, what a concept. Itโ€™s always nice to see when a specific product can also incorporate and hallmark the need for ecosphere solutions. Bravo.

@dubd59ย Thank you! We really appreciate that. ๐ŸŒ Our goal was to prove that everyday technology can support real environmental solutions without asking users to change their behavior. Comments like this mean a lot to the team.

Love the idea of building the mission into a daily habit ๐ŸŒŠ

โ€œJust browse as usualโ€ is such a strong angle โ€” zero friction, real-world impact. As an indie, I really respect how you tied product utility and purpose together. Huge congrats on the launch! ๐Ÿš€

Curious: how do you help users feel the impact over time โ€” is there any kind of progress or feedback loop planned?

@elevenaprilย Thank you so much, that really means a lot, especially coming from a fellow indie ๐Ÿ™Œ๐ŸŒŠ

Making the mission feel effortless was a big focus for us. On the impact side, weโ€™re very intentional about transparency. Through our partnership with 4ocean, cleanup is tracked and verified, and we share milestones and progress so users can see how collective browsing adds up over time. Weโ€™re also exploring additional ways to surface that impact more directly in the product, so the connection between everyday use and real cleanup stays tangible as Wave grows.

Appreciate the support and the thoughtful question!

Hi, your explanations in the comments arenโ€™t quite helping me understand how this works. How does browsing turn to dollars for 4ocean?

@roniroseย Happy to clarify! Wave operates like most browsers by earning revenue through search engine partnerships and standard browser integrations. When users browse the web, those search partners generate revenue in the same way they do for other browsers.

What makes Wave different is what we do with that revenue. Instead of it going only toward profit, a portion is allocated to fund verified ocean cleanup through our partnership with 4ocean.

So when people browse normally, that collective usage helps support real cleanup crews removing plastic and trash from our ocean, rivers, and coastlines. Thereโ€™s nothing extra users need to do, the impact is designed to scale naturally as more people use the browser.

Wow, Wave Browser is seriously cool! Love that my browsing can actually help clean the ocean. How does the partnership with 4ocean directly translate into cleanup efforts?

@jaydev13ย Thanks so much, weโ€™re glad youโ€™re excited about it! ๐ŸŒŠ

Weโ€™ve shared more detail on how the 4ocean partnership works in a few of the replies above, but the core idea is that everyday browsing helps fund real, verified cleanup.

Appreciate you being part of the conversation and the launch momentum!
