Background: We have built an AI assistant (Tasker) that can do all sorts of tasks on your behalf.. from using a browser to doing deep research to connecting to your GSuite and all your SaaS apps etc.
I've recently implemented a coding tool for Tasker to use. I asked it to create a website with a Google Sheet as a database, and it worked surprisingly well.
I then started asking Tasker to take on different roles to run my website based on triggers:
For the past few months I've been juggling three AI coding agents Claude Code for architecture, Codex for implementation, GLM for review. The pain wasn't any single one of them. It was the switching cost.
Every time I switched engines I had to re-explain the project: which framework, which conventions, where the old conversation left off. None of them remembered what the others knew. I'd waste 10 15 minutes per switch re-loading context, and half the time I'd just give up and stay on whatever I opened first.
So I started building a small thing for myself. Local desktop app. Lets me run all three engines from one window, with a shared memory layer underneath.
The thing I underestimated: persistent memory is the whole game. Once Claude and Codex can both see "this project uses SwiftData + strict concurrency + @Model on iOS 18+," switching becomes free. I stopped caring which engine I was on and started picking per-task.
We now look at actual code less and less. What does your developer experience look like now that we are getting closer to a non-IDE world? I am using @Superset and am loving it so far. In my corporate job, I have 10-15 repos going at once and it's all super organized. What are you all using?

A few months ago most of us were still writing everything manually or just using AI for small snippets. Now it feels like the process has shifted to describing what you want and iterating with the AI until the product behaves the way you imagine.
Obviously there is a ton of hype around OpenClaw and everyone rushing to get Mac Minis and set it up. But what happens now that Anthropic has created a seemingly more secure and easier to set up version of OpenClaw with Channels? Do you think OpenAI will adapt quick enough and evolve OpenClaw to be at the forefront of the localized agent space? Or will Anthropic run away with it? Would love to hear what you all think.
