Hey Product Hunt, we're back! Before getting into what we've been up to for the past nine months, I'd like to thank @toddg777 for hunting Viable. We really appreciate all of the support you've given us over the past year. We wouldn't be here without you and our other amazing investors. I'm Dan, CEO and co-founder of Viable (formerly known as Viable Fit). After launching our PMF product on Product Hunt last June, we spent a lot of time with founders, product people, and customer support teams and made a big discovery: companies already have a lot of customer feedback coming at them, they just don't have a way to easily work with it. We quickly realized that we could have a much bigger impact if we shifted focus towards helping companies aggregate and structure their customer feedback data so they could easily access the insights hidden in all that data. So we got to work. In order to aggregate data from many data sources, we built an easy-to-use integrations catalog and filled it up with common feedback tools, including Zendesk, Front, Delighted, and Intercom, and thousands more through Zapier for direct, 2-click integrations. Once we had a system that could pull in data from a ton of sources, we got to structuring it. First, we built a model that could extract topics from textual data and augmented it with sentiment and emotional analysis from GPT-3. We then needed an easy way to mine that data for insights. And what's easier than asking a question? This is where the magic really happens: using a combination of GPT-3 and in-house models, we built a system that lets you ask questions in plain English and get actionable, human-like answers back in seconds. The results continue to blow us away. To round it out, we built trend tracking for topics, sentiments, and emotions so you can keep tabs on how your product or service is being received. Oh, and we have a Slack bot that lets you ask questions right from Slack - your team members don’t even need a Viable account to get answers to their questions. We launched our pilot back in December, and since then we've had the pleasure of working with 20+ companies of all sizes, from pre-product startups all the way to huge, fast growing companies that get hundreds of thousands of pieces of feedback every day. Now we're ready to share it with all of you. We've got a 14 day free trial, so sign up today and try it out!

@toddg777 @techwraith This, pretty much all this! Also: appreciate the tech breakdown @techwraith

Hi Product Hunt! I'm Jeff, CPO and Cofounder of Viable. As a product person, I know that every product team has a blind spot: qualitative data. We all want to stay up to date with how our customers are thinking and feeling about our products, but it's just so HARD. Survey's, spreadsheets, analysts — just to get an answer to a simple question. That's why we built Viable! Our AI understands your customers, so you can just ask it your question, and it'll give you an answer backed by data instantly. No more pouring through feedback spreadsheets, no more waiting days for insight. Simply ask a question and get an answer. It's seriously that easy! If you have any questions, let me know, I'm here to help!

@jeffreykaine Not to get too sappy, but it's pretty magical to be building this company with you. Not everyone gets the privilege of working with their twin brother every day!

Without a doubt the best part of my day is when I get to read feedback responses from customers. Especially when they’ve taken the time to provide well thought out details of their experience with a product I took part in building and shipping. As a product or marketing lead (I’ve done both), the greatest impact I can have is finding and distilling insights that help me build better products and earn a customer’s glowing appraisal. This is what we’re aiming for at Viable: to be that partner to product, CX, and marketing pros who know the value of customer empathy and want nothing more than to build kick-ass products that are truly customer-centric, as quickly and efficiently as possible. As a mind-blowing bonus, we get to stress-test the most powerful language model in the world, GPT-3, by using it to make it super easy and fast to get insights from vast quantities of qualitative customer feedback. I get to work on this every day and I couldn’t be more into it, day in and day out. (GPT-3 still makes me laugh out loud at least once a day). I’m so excited to work with @techwraith, @jeffreykaine, @rockinbinbin, and @kmitch to build this. We invite you to check it out and share your own feedback with us!

@jeffreykaine @rockinbinbin @kmitch @silvialacayo - I'm so excited to be working with all of you as well!

Hey, awesome use case for GPT-3. Looking at the pricing page you write: "*A processed data point is any single piece of qualitative feedback that we have ingested and readied for analysis." ; is this the pieces used for each question (as you write in your example "129 pieces of feedback was used as evidence for this") or is it whenever a new piece of feedback is ingested into your system for the first time from any of the sources such as intercom? Great job!
Daniel Erickson
@andreasklintberg Hi Andreas! We only charge when we ingest the data, not when we retrieve it for a question. And, any data ingested during the trial is free for life. Hope that helps!
Jeffrey Erickson
@andreasklintberg, great question! It's each piece of feedback that is ingested for the first time.
Rachel Dowling
@andreasklintberg @techwraith How often is data ingested? Is this on a recurring (daily) basis?
Jeffrey Erickson
@andreasklintberg @techwraith @rachel_dowling99 Once synced with your feedback sources, data will come in in (near) real time. We wanted to make sure you were always working with the most up to date data.

Really useful. My eyes usually glaze over in about 10 seconds when I try to sift through multiple feedback channels and figure out what users are actually telling us. This is wicked rad.
Jeffrey Erickson
Thanks @adam_nyhan! We think so too :D
Silvia Lacayo
@adam_nyhan thank you!
Daniel Erickson
@adam_nyhan Thanks Adam! We agree, sifting through multiple channels sucks so much that most companies don't even try. Now it's easy ;)

So cool! Congratulations!!
Daniel Erickson
@chandrakesarr Thanks Lucas!

Congrats on the big update @techwraith and @jeffreykaine! I've been super impressed with the accuracy of the answers from Viable, even found some nuggets from research notes that I took 😅

Thanks Drew! It's been fun working with you and I'm excited to see how we can help Blurb build the best product for its customers.
Ara Ghougassian
This is really really cool. At Fluent we're really big on continuous user interviews (have over 50 hours of 1-1s currently). What we found was that the biggest problem is looking back at all of the text later and generating usable insights from the qualitative data. Doing it manually takes forever, and this type of feedback isn't as easy to sift as quantitative feedback like engagement numbers, so it gets pushed to the back burner. Really excited by what your team is doing here, this can genuinely become a game changer!
Daniel Erickson
@ara_ghougassian1 Thanks Ara! Can't wait to help Fluent sift through all that text!
