Web vs. Native App: Why are we still forcing users to open browsers?

by

SaaS founders often ignore mobile apps because of the development cost (Flutter/React Native) and the complexity of App Store approvals.

But retention data doesn't lie: A native icon on the home screen increases LTV (Lifetime Value) significantly compared to a browser tab.

With Blyxxa, we implemented TWA (Trusted Web Activity) to turn WordPress SaaS sites into native .AAB files instantly.

For indie hackers: Is a mobile app a "must-have" or a "nice-to-have" for your MVP?

The biggest objection I hear from indie hackers is: "Building a mobile app is too hard/expensive."

But data shows that a home screen icon increases retention by 30-40%.

Question for you all: If you could turn your SaaS into a Play Store app in 5 minutes without coding (using TWA), would that change your strategy? Or is "Web-Only" still enough in 2025?
