Kilo Code Reviewer - 24 hours on Product Hunt

OSS AI coding assistant @Kilo Code launched again. This was their 3rd launch on @Product Hunt.
Last year, they crushed it: Two launches, ranked respectfully #5 Product of the Day and #1 Product of the Day - among the best developer tools launched in 2025 in my opinion.
No pressure.

In January 2026, they launched Kilo Code Reviewer - AI-powered code review agents that understand your codebase and catch bugs before merging.
I experimented with something new, live blogging the launch for the next 24 hours.
Let's go.

TL,DR
12:01:AM:PST - going live!
04:12:AM:PST - new milestone: 200 points
06:17:AM:PST - new milestone: 300 points
09:39:AM:PST - new milestone: 400 points
02:34:PM:PST - new milestone: 500 points
11:44:PM:PST - new milestone: 600 points
12:01:AM:PST - going live
Step 1: getting featured. Check!
For the first 4 hours of the day, Product Hunt hides upvotes and sorts the homepage randomly. This should give products "a more distributed chance at exposure early." - Source

Pro tip: To monitor your launch day in real time, you can add /launch-day to your post URL. View comments that need responding, your most notable voters, where your product ranks and how much time is left in the day.
Fun fact: @Product Hunt launched this feature 6 years ago.
/products/{yourProduct}/launch-day01:01:AM:PST - new milestone: 100 points
Product Hunt is a great place for developer tools to launch - a place where many dev-first, open-source products like @Kilo Code launched successfully:
@Supabase (16 launches, 20 awards)
@Langfuse (4 launches, 5 awards) or
@Metabase (3 launches, 2 awards) for example.
02:57:AM:PST - new milestone: 150 points
Product Hunt helps raise awareness, get feedback, and collect testimonials - the type of materials you can reuse later on for marketing purposes.
Take this comment for instance:
As a data engineer, I’ve been using Kilo Code reviewer and it’s surprisingly data aware, not just code aware. It helps me catch pipeline changes that would only break dashboards later.
