Exploring Markdown export on Facet ✍️

On Facet, writers can already draft, publish, and share their work seamlessly, while readers enjoy a clean, distraction-free reading experience.

We’re now considering something new: giving writers the ability to download their work in Markdown.

Why we’re excited about this idea:

• True ownership → writers keep a copy of their work, always.

• Openness → Facet becomes not just a platform, but part of an ecosystem.

• Flexibility → authors can reuse content in blogs, personal archives, or tools like Obsidian.

• Trust → it shows Facet isn’t about lock-in, but about empowering writers.

For us, Markdown export feels like a natural extension of our mission: making writing effortless for authors and enjoyable for readers.
