It's awesome. I have spent a lot of time in the past doing seamless patterns. This would have been a huge time saver. I will definitely use it in the future. The best of it all is that it accepts SVG and export in SVG. Just one thing I found a bit confusing was changing the background colour. Great work mate.

@jsteneros Thanks, Johan! You and me, both. I used to dread seamless patterns so much because making them was such a tedious process! First-class SVG support was a priority for this project. Export as an SVG and display the pattern with pixel-perfect quality at any size 😎 Thanks for the feedback about changing the background color. The approach is a indeed a bit different from popular tools like Canva. I'll reconsider the way it's done and see if I can make it more intuitive.

@andrea_todorova1 Thank you, Andrea! I appreciate the kind words :)

you should add randomize button! btw this is awesome.
Luca Dalli
@hitudrock Thanks Hitudrock. Have you tried refreshing the page? Every page load generates a brand new random pattern. Or do you feel that it's a poor user experience and a dedicated "Randomize" button would do a better job?
Hitudrock
@webdevluca yes i tried. but scale and tile settings are reset at every refresh. I would also like to randomize only the emojis and the background color after editing the placements of the emojis.
Luca Dalli
@hitudrock Ok, I'll track this with a a feature request in the /r/tylify subreddit. It will most likely not have a UI element. Instead it will be a keyboard shortcut, built especially for you :)

great job!

The use cases for this are endless! We used to print custom pattern notebooks for clients at a previous job of mine and the pattern creator we us we used for this was clunky as anything. Wish we had this more seamless experience back then for sure!

@n_russell "Seamless" experience, I 👀 what you did there! Thank you, Nick!
