Sortd for Gmail - Trello for Gmail - Transform your email into organized lists

Sortd is the world's first Productivity Suite for Gmail. Unlike Asana, Monday.com, Trello or Tables by Google, who primarily focus on Internal collaboration, Sortd is capable of managing both Internal & External collaboration with deep email integration.

Looks really promising. Is there anyway to use gmail shortcuts within the app?
Wayne Silbermann
@ajwaxman Gmail shortcuts should work fine in Sortd. Did you try one that isn't working?
Hillary
@waynesilby @ajwaxman I really like Sortd, but one major issue I've been having is using gmail shortcuts with Sortd. It looks like some things work, but others get overridden when emails are open (to the right). Labeling is a little funky, and hitting the enter/return key doesn't result in labeling the email with the topmost result like gmail allows you normally. I'd also like to multi-select and then drag all those into a list, which doesn't seem possible (or isn't obvious to me). Otherwise, dragging one by one is super slow especially on a laptop.

@waynesilby @ajwaxman Also looks like starring doesn't work (s for starring and unstarring as a shortcut)

@waynesilby also, what can you tell me about your use of intents, machine learning or the Google prediction API in terms of how you sort messages?
Wayne Silbermann
@akosner We are trying to create a very workable user experience with the simplicity of manual 'drag and drop' sorting. When we have cracked that we have plans to get a lot smarter with automation. But great question - things can certainly start getting really interesting with the use of machine learning.
Wayne Silbermann
@akosner Machine learning is one of those things that I believe you have to execute well or not at all. If it goes wrong it goes very wrong, and when it comes to email - that's sacred ground, so we are treading very carefully. Even Google, who are the best in the game when it comes to this stuff, don't have it 100% right (IMHO). My personal experience with their tab solution for example, while it works mostly well, is one of frustration at times. My feeling when finding an email incorrectly placed in the promotions tab is 'come on Gmail, you should know better'. And sure, you can correct it, but I think that it might have been a better solution if I had taught it what to put in which tabs. Or maybe a light mode and an aggressive mode makes sense. Interested to hear your thoughts...

Just fell in love. Kudos.

 Thanks @elenabrz ;)

@waynesilby my 10 invites are gone and I have a line of people asking for more, I got your redeem coupon :) but if I give it or publish it, the first one getting it will have unfair advantage (since it's only for 10 people). Is there any way to get another 10 invites so I can email the invite from the app itself? THANKS SO MUCH
Wayne Silbermann
@elenabrz Sorry about the late reply. Will send to you via email...

Nice idea, but still haven't solved the email problem. The app is a little laggy and sometimes just doesn't load. But has potential! So please develop further. Thumbs up!

@waynesilby amazing concept and beautiful execution! with the rollout of Gmail's Inbox, my email organization/task management system was destroyed (albeit I do like the new Inbox!). what are your plans for integrating with the new Inbox, as Google phases out Gmail?
Wayne Silbermann
@melissaschaff It looks like Gmail are testing out an 'auto-migration' to Inbox (there is a way to go back if this happened to you by the way). Having spoken to a number of people who have tried Inbox, I think the jury is still out. While we are building Sortd up to be ready for an official launch it's still a little premature for us to create a version for Inbox, but there's no doubt we will eventually support it. It's important for us to be where the market is, so as Inbox starts to gain momentum we will put our focus there accordingly.

Just started using this today and am really liking it. I've been trying to convert to Inbox by Gmail, but I find myself going back to Gmail. I like how I still have all of the features I love in Gmail (like rich text email signatures and canned responses), but have much better organization tools now. I definitely have a few features I would like to see, but I am happy with this. Nice work!

Just started using it. Enjoying it already. One feature that I am am missing and would find really useful - ability to have multiple emails open either for reading or replying.
Wayne Silbermann
@rohitc You can have multiple Compose windows open like in Gmail. If you want to have multiple emails from your Inbox open you can use the pop-out button at the top right of Gmail's preview pane.

I am unable to add notes to a task that is incomplete. My changes are saved only if I change the status to completed
Wayne Silbermann
@rohitc Can you elaborate? If you click anywhere outside the notes area it should save your note.

I've had Sortd for a while on two of Gmail account and installed now, but beyond after about two weeks, I just stopped using it, perhaps because there is no mobile app.

My initial experience with Sortd was kind of like my initial experience with Gmail Inbox. I felt you had to learn too much or set up too many things to really get into using it. But no I was wrong. It's not just like Trello for Gmail it's even more than that. For years, I was adding this plugin and that plugin to Gmail like Boomerang and others. Sortd is like all of them and more. It has just about limited my needs for creating to-do lists or using other services to set up dates and alerts with activities and projects that I'm working on. Instead of treating my Inbox like a TO-DO box I'm actually able to now put real actions forward and not have to search and find through filters and star systems and highlights. I'm out of the Inbox and getting things done. I love Sortd and I've recommended it on Twit TV This Week In Google and all over social media.
