Ready - Notifications for anything

Hi, All! So I've been working on Ready, it's an implementation of an idea that I've had for a long time. I find that even though we're all connected through the web, there's always been this weird disconnect between the people who want information and the people who have it. I, as a human and a consumer of things, am interested in viewing certain content and purchasing certain goods. Likewise content creators, retailers and marketers are more than interested to sell me on their goods, but will resort to more broad-stroke methods (such as online ads and social media) to actually tell me about them. Say, for instance, I'm interested in a YouTube series and I would like to be told when the next video is available to watch. My current options are to either subscribe to the YT channel and enable YT push notifications on my phone, or just follow the creator on Twitter. Unfortunately the YTuber uploads 5 unrelated videos per-day and frequently tweets about dogs and politics. In an ideal world the people who are interested in just this video series should be able to hear about just this video series. In the case of Ready, this is a basic scenario. The YTer would create an event solely for updates on this set of videos, users who are interested can subscribe and the creator can, with one tap, tell us all that there's new content. Online content creators aside, I think a streamlined medium like this has viable applications in the retail world. A company could use these messages to drum up hype around a product launch, or let consumers know about promotional offers. CURRENT IMPLEMENTATION - As the ideas that I've been talking about require a community of people to run, I've had to start somewhere to try and demonstrate some ways Ready can be useful to people. Currently the app can send you information about upcoming Movies, Albums, Video Games and scheduled TV. At the moment it will send notifications to subscribers before a release date, but in the case of Albums it can even send you messages when an album name or a release date are announced. Although it's far from the picture I've been trying to paint, I think it demonstrates the idea that you shouldn't have to continuously search for the things you're already interested in. Feedback on the concept and implementation both greatly appreciated.
