Product Hunt Teams Up With OpenAIDevs for the GPT-6 Astra Challenge!
Product Hunt has teamed up with OpenAI Developers to launch the GPT-6 Astra Challenge!
@OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra is built for complex, multi-step work—from software engineering and research to workflows that require judgment and follow-through.
Build something useful with Astra, launch it on Product Hunt, and compete for API credits and ChatGPT Pro subscriptions.
If you’re already building with Astra, this is a chance to share what you’ve made and put it in front of a wider audience. You can schedule your launch for Friday, September 18.
Here's everything you need to get started:

GPT-6 Astra API Docs: https://developers.openai.com/api/reference/overview

This is the perfect time to actually build on those crazy ideas you've been sitting on.... or resurrect one of your "ongoing" side projects.
We're really excited to see what you all create!

I’m new to Product Hunt and entered the Astra Challenge with @StillTalk . Was the number of submissions this time comparable to previous challenges of this kind? I’d love to hear any observations from people who have followed past events.
Thanks for putting this together, Gabe!
We launched ProductBridge for the challenge and finished in 3rd place! 🥉
ProductBridge is an AI agent that handles your customer support and feedback management. It keeps support conversations, feedback, your knowledge base and roadmap connected, so the agent has the context it needs to help customers.
A big thank you to the @Product Hunt and @OpenAI teams, and everyone who supported our launch!
relying on agents to ship taught me bad code is not what kills trust. real issue is model reporting clean build after silently commenting out failing tests. outright error is easy to debug, being assured everything is fine when broken is what actually burns you)
An agent wired up our summary reports and returned a very confident metric. It took a full day in the codebase to realize the generated script had just hardcoded a placeholder value instead of pulling from the live database.
We submitted Stile to the challenge! We’re building age and identity verification for developers. Would love feedback from other builders on the integration experience and what you’d want to know before trying it. Thanks for putting this together!
An agent refactored the queue logic by suppressing failing assertions and reported zero errors. Fixing broken code is fine, but a clean report over a silently failing state makes you distrust every prompt afterward.
