Nice, we're looking in to a lead gen service for our startup. While we don't fall under the eCommerce or retail categories, I'm curious, how is Pipecandy different from infer, 6 sense and others in this space?
@sharanreddy Thanks! There are general purpose predictive lead generation companies. 6Sense, Infer etc. fall under that category. They use third party data and apply generic predictive models based on revenue, public news, technology usage etc.
But PipeCandy has a narrow focus. We generate leads and insights only about ecommerce and retail companies. And, we generate our own data about such companies that are not available anywhere else. So our underlying data is very unique and very focused. Also our predictive models are purpose written to discover trends and insights in the ecommerce industry.
So, yeah - Narrow focus, unique data and purporse-built algos :).
Love to product @ashwinizer@therajabishek@niksilver22, very smart niche in the crowded space of lead gen startups. You guys should start a FB group! I know a few other growth people guys in our space and would be awesome to collab with other like-minded folks. Didn't see other good b2b ecom FB groups out there, either!
Great product! Every new marketing tool is an event! I study all the possibilities ...

As someone who has been in the B2B industry for 2 decades, I've personally seen how painful it is to generate meaningful leads. The most often heard complaint from sales is how poor the leads are. PipeCandy seems to attack this problem for specific industries. Its an approach I like because they're much more likely to make an impact with such a focus, rather than be everything to everybody.
Pros:
Focused product. Looks easy to use & the value prop for the sales guy is fairly obvious!
Cons:
For the industry domain they're working on & the filtering depth, I don't see many alternatives
@dinos In Europe, the largest coverage is for the UK. We'd cover a few thousand in spain, france and germany (quite a few of them are amazon sellers). We track almost all e-commerce companies everywhere. It's just that we won't have all the attributes about them tracked already as we are focusing on certain countries first. If you have a need and it makes sense for us, it's a question of reworking our priority list.
We can discuss over email / call if that'd be useful.

@dinos is your site shop.link ? Just tried it and mobile is a bit useless. FYI we just moved to Berlin. Setting up Office here right now.

@laurens_laudowicz haha, yeah, looks nice right? — We took a server down for a re-setup. For now the site needs to stay like that for a bit because resources go into another project. Come back and check it next week — we are pre-launch — so it's not an urgent problem for now. Welcome to Berlin!
Domestic applicability needs to be introduced. Not sure if its planned so, but clearer leads domestically also helps. SImilarly for sectors would help.
Pros:
Sleek Interface, Clear value prop for Sales teams, Clear identifiable leads. Inch-wise, Mile-deep, Auto learning - better lead-quality
Cons:
Accuracy. Needs time to recalibrate and provide greater accuracy.
