Hi everyone! I'm really excited to present Pincone to the Product Hunt community! I have no idea what to expect from this launch, but I hope you like it! TL:DR; Pincone is a tool that lets you keep all of your bookmarks in one place, shared with your team or privately. It allows you to organize links into categories, add tags, and discover new and interesting content. I'll go over some of the history behind Pincone, a few cool features, and some ideas for the future of Pincone. Where it makes sense, I've linked to some of our blog posts, if you're interested in a deep dive! How did Pincone start? Pincone started at Ars Futura, as an idea to make sharing and finding interesting links easier among our team. The first commit was made all the way back in 2017. We slowly added more features over the next six months, and then it was used internally for quite some time. When COVID hit, we decided to spend some more time polishing it before we finally shipped it to the public at the end of 2020. Discovering new content: Feeds From the start, we wanted Pincone to expand from a "simple bookmark manager" to a place where you can discover new content. A place you can open up in the morning with a β˜•οΈ cup of coffee in hand and read up on new content that you might find interesting. With this in mind, we added support for ingesting RSS and Atom feeds into your Pincone. Just create a new feed and Pincone will automatically scrape new content from that website going forward. If you find something interesting, you can categorize it for future reference. At the same time, we added some machine learning in the background to analyze the links that get added and auto-label them. You can read more about that in our blog post on unsupervised auto-labeling of websites. You can then quickly find something even if you don't remember exactly what it was about. Up next: Inboxes Piggybacking off of the Feeds functionality above, our next step is a feature we like to call Inboxes. The gist of it is that you would be able to create a new Inbox and give it a name (e.g. "Design"). We give you a new, unique email address that you can use to subscribe to one or more different newsletters. Whenever that inbox gets an email, we'll drop it in your Pincone. Don't want to receive emails there any longer? Just delete that inbox. This is something I'm personally really excited about! Pricing Pincone is free for personal use. For teams larger than 3 members, it's a very simple, flat fee of $50/year for the entire team. Meaning that we don't charge per member or number of links. As we start adding more functionality and more ways for you to discover and consume content, we might introduce additional paid tiers, but the core set of features will always be free. πŸ’› I would love it if you would give Pincone a try. If you have any questions, suggestions, or feedback just leave a comment below! Thanks everyone! πŸ’œ

Knowledgebases like this are the next big thing. It's a new way to communicate, no need to forward links, just save and the team has access. I love it!
Ivan Bozic
Agreed. 🀝 Pincone has a lot of features, but we've only scraped the surface of things we can build to improve knowledge sharing amongst team members, but even privately. I'm most excited about Pincone in a year or two once we start building in more layers for you to discover content and make sense of the content you have already added.

Finally! 🍾 I had the privilege to use Pincone when it was in the test phase, and I loved it. Usually, I don't use bookmarks, but the fact that I have all links in one place (especially shopping sites) makes my life easier! Congrats boys! πŸ‘

This is cool! This could definitely help people like me who come across a ton of great content online and want to share them with our team, but the links get lost among a bunch of messages. Speaking of that, curious if you have any plans to allow for sharing on other productivity apps like Slack or Asana. Being able to share a bookmark collection via a message would be great! Congrats on the launch :)
Ivan Bozic
Thanks Tae! πŸ™Œ We've focused right now on building the basic in managing links. Our next step is to expand the types of content you can add to Pincone. We already started talking about what happens after that. And things like sharing collections privately or publicly✳︎ are definitely coming down the road. ✳︎ Think having a public link of your favorite books that you can share with a friend, or a moodboard of your favorite vacation homes, etc.

@bozicivan That's great! Looking forward to how Pincone develops :)
