One of my favourite online tools. The real value for money at my side starts when I put 1$ in and get at least 10$ out. With OptiMonks kickass preamade popup templates I’ve made so powerful campaigns (no design skills at all, I’ve grown up on Canva 😀) , that it’s crushed my ROI. With the FREE trial, it’s a real no brainer.

Pros:

Tons of free templates, outstanding design, powerful triggering settings. I've tried a couple of alternatives, but this one is delightful 👌

Cons:

The only thing I’m missing is the built in embedded forms function. That would be reaaallly astounding 😀

It’s a misbelief that visitors hate popups. Visitors hate bad popups. Good ones, that create real value and customized user experience, are appreciated. That’s why I love OptiMonk. Thanks, guys

Pros:

Your templates are perfect for a busy business owner. It only took ~10 minutes to set up my first popup.

Cons:

I love your case studies, however some conversion tips right within the app would be great.

Maybe I'm just an outlier, but I find any popup that interrupts my current context on a website to be a frustrating experience. Surely there are better ways to embed some of these input forms/information/offers in a more cohesive way to what I'm currently doing on the website? I do realize that there's clearly difference between the sites that immediately popup asking for email before you have even seen what the site is about and dropping an offer as a user is going through checkout, but it still feels disruptive

@stephensilber Emphatically agree. This pattern is a modern internet frustration, and always feels like a desperate attempt to shout at users as they're walking out the door (or worse, when their mouse pointer pops into the "forbidden zone" and it's closer to shouting at users browsing near the exit). It feels backwards to productize frustrating features.

I understand you have some concerns - what's more, I agree with you at some points (e.g. for a better user experience, website owners shouldn't ask for email immediately when a visitor arrives to the site). However, by using popups in the right way, you can easily make a positive impact on your hard-to-get visitors – without annoying them. By avoiding some common popup mistakes, you can create ‘good popups’. For me, a 'good popup' is not only well-designed and fully customized, but also: - Appears when it’s the least disturbing (not when a visitor is entering) - Is relevant to your visitors and the page they are viewing (based on their on-site behavior, the visitors are interested in its content) - Provides a sufficiently attractive offer (a discount itself can be less motivating than a free giveaway for you, but it can be the opposite for an other company - test to see what works best for your visitors) - Doesn’t appear too often to a particular visitor - Increases the time spent on site - Boosts your conversions In this article you can learn more about the most common popup mistakes that should be avoided in order to improve your visitors’ experience; and ultimately, generate more leads, sales and signups on your site: https://www.optimonk.com/popup-m...

I highly recommend Optimonk as I've used it for several years and their newest 2.0 version is a great leap forward for ease of use and new features.

Pros:

The editor and prebuilt template really help me quickly deploy new offers to my visitors.

Cons:

I'd like more templates but that's not really a con more of a feature request. :)
