@mxsawyer Is there a similarity to Penny (and for that matter, any other financial assistant using a chat interface)? Yep, that's how product paradigms as ubiquitous as chat work. To try and completely reinvent obvious chat design patterns would have been to the detriment of the user experience. When using the app, it becomes pretty obvious that there are a bunch of differences. Some of those differences are manifested in a different UI, but many of them are manifested in the set of features. The only true similarities I see to Penny are: it's a chat interface, primarily, and both use a female persona. I can tell you that Penny was simply a competitor (among many others) that we looked at long after the design process was in full-motion. We'd already identified the main functionality and UX paradigms via a rigorous sketching, paper-prototyping, and wireframing process that I converted to interactive prototypes. I'm happy to explain more, if people are curious!

@chrismeeks Thanks! I have no issues other than the brand distinguishing aspect (the logos are pretty similar) but other than that I understand! Currently sitting at #6014 in the queue and looking forward to eventually moving up!

@alexcohenbirch Try the Safely Spend notifications and calendar view, if you haven't already. I find that to be a remarkably helpful feature that keeps me on track and is built for a spend-first generation that doesn't always do a great job at long-term planning.
