The Nothing Phone (3) introduces a new design and the Glyph Matrix, an evolution of its signature lights into a useful display. It features an improved camera system and a more refined Nothing OS. Pre-orders open July 4.
Co-hunt with @sentry_co to share the Nothing Phone (3). The most iconic change for (3) is the new "Glyph Matrix."
Nothing Phone (3) has swapped the Glyph lights for a useful display on the back. The unique design sense is still there, but turning the lights into a screen provides so much more information value (and maybe it's more power-efficient too?).
I like this direction a lot more than the previous two generations. Maybe I'm just not a "bling-bling" kind of person :P. The new camera system also looks like a big step up.
@zaczuo I’ve used the Nothing Phone 1 and am currently using the Nothing Phone A2. What really sets these phones apart are the unique Glyph lights—I find them fresh and eye-catching.
However, with the new model, it feels like Nothing is going for a more refined, Apple-inspired vibe. While it’s sleeker, it doesn’t showcase as much originality or bold differentiation as the earlier products did.
Oh man, Nothing Phone (3) looks sick! why didn't i catch wind of this earlier? the Glyph Matrix upgrade is wildddd!
Compared to other “flashy” phones like some Samsung or Apple models—they go heavy on俗 (sú, like, basic flash) but Nothing? they turned the back into a useful display. it’s not just bling—way smarter move lol. finally a phone that uses its design for actual info, not just looks.
gonna use that Glyph Matrix to show incoming app notifications in a unique way—like, set it to light up different patterns for Slack vs. Instagram. no more guessing what’s popping on my phone. and the improved camera? perfect for snapping quick product shots for socials, then edit on the go with Nothing OS. solves the “boring back design” pain most phones have. can’t wait to pre - order and mess with all the Glyph tricks!
congrats to the Nothing team! this phone’s gonna make people rethink what a “design - focused” device can do. love the new direction!

while I am unsure of the asymetric or more of a spread out camera placement here, I like how the black is also resembling the music samplers (like op-xy)
Carl and team are on to something, and I am rooting for them.
The back display seems like a game-changer. How does the battery life compare with the previous models, especially with the new display? Ensuring long-lasting battery life would be crucial for users on the go. Congrats on the launch! 🚀
