Meridian - Don't let your work go unnoticed. Get promoted!
by•
Meridian is an open-source AI work journal that runs entirely on your device. It writes your work up in plain English as the day goes, so by the end of the day you have a summary of everything you did. Meridian automatically drafts your updates for your project management tools like Jira, ready to post once you approve them.
Do the work. Let the remembering take care of itself.

@adamroot Yes, Meridian can serve as an automatic second brain for work. It continuously captures on-device activity, organizes it into a timeline, and preserves the context Claude would otherwise miss, including investigations, decisions, unexpected fixes, and unplanned work. Unlike Obsidian, it does not require you to manually write and organize every note.
It does not currently pull context from Granola transcripts.

Congrats on the launch, guys! 🎊

@gordana_laskovic Thank you for celebrating with us! 🎊
I'm excited to give it a try! But I'm running into this issue where it's not recognizing Claude Code on my computer – I've double checked all the permissions it needed and restarted my computer, unsure if it would potentially be a setting on the Claude end or something. Would appreciate any advice, thanks!
Meridian
@emil8er Thanks for flagging this! The claude issue is fixed in the latest version. Run the app and it'll auto update to the latest version and then connect to claude code on your machine, it should work
If the issue persists we would like to connect and provide a better solution

Three months ago you quit your job to build this. It's MIT-licensed and free for individual developers, a lot to give away on day one. Congrats on shipping it.
Meridian
@lucasjpols Thank you! Leaving my job to build Meridian was a big leap, so the support means a lot. Making it MIT-licensed and free for individual developers felt like the right way to ensure developers can trust it, audit it, and benefit from it without barriers.

@ben_kahan Thank you! Leaving my job to build Meridian was a big leap, and making it MIT-licensed and free for individual developers felt essential to earning developers’ trust and making it accessible from day one.

@adamroot Yes, Meridian can generate a weekly bullet-point summary of completed work, so you don’t have to spend an hour compiling it manually.
