Why I made MemoRep?
I kept forgetting guitar techniques I'd already learned. Scales, theory, voicings — gone in weeks.
So I built MemoRep 🧠
Spaced repetition that tells you what to practice and when. No flashcards.
This is the short version.
The not short one:
I searched for a long time for tools, including post-it, paper calendars, and so on, that would help me practicing and memorize songs, scales, harmony concepts, etc. (Oh forgot to mention, I’m a musician😇).
The problem is, having a huge stack of things to keep track to revisit, and memorize this amount of different things.
As I learn a new thing, and another new thing, and so on and so forth; I would forgot to go back to some and practice or study again.
So, some months ago I start an only course that uses spaced repetition and it was a huge game change! I was practicing less and remembering more 🥰
And that was when I’ve decided to create an app do use spaced repetition to build my own study sequence.
And start to use it for other things like learning drawing, learn photography (hobbies I have).
And it simply works great!
Then I decide to polish and launch MemoRep.
I’m super happy with how it helps me, and truly hopeful and confident it will help a lot of people.
