Hello Product Hunt Community πŸ‘‹ I'm Vinoop, Co-Founder of Mailercloud, and I'm excited to introduce Mailercloud Email API β€” built to help developers send both transactional and marketing emails with speed, scale, and high deliverability. Many of our customers needed more than campaign tools β€” they required reliable infrastructure to send OTPs, alerts, password resets, order confirmations, and marketing communications from a single platform. With this launch, we’re expanding Mailercloud beyond email marketing into powerful email infrastructure for growing businesses. Key Highlights: ⚑ 1,000+ emails per second throughput πŸ“ˆ 99%+ deliverability performance πŸ“Š Real-time tracking & webhooks πŸ” Secure domain authentication & inbox monitoring We would truly appreciate your feedback and questions β€” especially from developers building products that depend on reliable email delivery. Looking forward to your thoughts and discussion πŸš€

@vinoop_thayattΒ Hey Vinoop. How does Mailercloud ensure that emails don’t end up in spam? Is it just technology, or are there best practices users must follow too?

Amar CP

Great question @kimberly_rossΒ , It's genuinely both. On our end, we handle the infrastructure layer β€” authenticated sending with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC alignment, dedicated/shared IP pools with reputation monitoring, real-time feedback loops from ISPs, and automatic suppression of bounces and complaints. But the platform can only do so much β€” inbox placement ultimately depends on sender behavior too. List hygiene (no purchased lists, regular cleaning), consistent sending patterns, relevant content, and honoring unsubscribes all matter enormously. We guide users on these best practices through our onboarding and support β€” because even the best infrastructure can't save a spammy campaign. Think of it as: we build the road, but you still need to drive well. πŸš—

The move from email marketing tool to full email infrastructure is the right expansion. Teams building SaaS products don't want to stitch together separate providers for transactional and marketing emails, and the deliverability risk of doing it wrong on OTPs and password resets is too high to cut corners on.

99%+ deliverability is the number everyone claims but the real question is how it holds up on cold domains and newly authenticated sending infrastructure. How does Mailercloud handle the warm-up period for new domains, is that managed automatically or does the developer need to control it manually?

Building a SaaS platform myself right now and reliable transactional email for things like billing confirmations and auth flows is exactly the kind of infrastructure that needs to just work without babysitting. Congrats on the launch!

Amar CP

Thanks @joao_seabraΒ , you've nailed exactly why we made this move β€” no SaaS team should have to juggle two email vendors and hope the deliverability holds on their auth flows.

On the warm-up question: we handle it both ways depending on the plan. For shared IP pools, new senders benefit from the existing warm reputation immediately β€” no manual effort needed. For dedicated IPs (which we recommend for high-volume transactional senders), we have an automated warm-up scheduler that gradually ramps volume over 2–4 weeks, following ISP-friendly curves. Developers can also override and control the ramp manually if they want fine-grained control β€” useful when you already have a strong domain reputation and want to move faster.

The cold domain scenario is the real test, and honestly where a lot of ESPs cut corners. We pair the warm-up with domain authentication checks at onboarding β€” SPF, DKIM, DMARC β€” so you're not warming up on a misconfigured setup that'll tank anyway.

For billing confirmations and auth flows specifically, we'd put you on a dedicated subdomain + IP from the start and keep it isolated from any marketing traffic. That separation is what keeps OTP delivery rock-solid even if a marketing campaign hits a rough patch. Would love to have you try it out! πŸš€

This sounds like a powerful tool. Since it supports sending up to 1,000 emails at once, does it also have safeguards in place to ensure deliverability and prevent messages from landing in spam or promotions?

Amar CP

Thanks @x_ronxoΒ , Quick clarification β€” the 1,000 emails/second is actually our demonstrated throughput capability, not a limit. Our free plan starts with 1,000 emails/month, and we scale with you β€” if you need 10,000/sec, we can support that too.

On safeguards: yes, absolutely. High-volume sending without guardrails is a recipe for inbox disaster, so we've built several layers in β€” real-time bounce and complaint monitoring, automatic suppression management, ISP feedback loop integration, and rate throttling per domain to stay within ISP tolerance thresholds. The infrastructure is designed to protect sender reputation at scale, not just push volume. Happy to walk you through how it works for your use case!

Viktor Shumylo

Congrats! Nice expansion, moving from campaigns to infrastructure makes sense. How do you maintain 99% and deliverability at scale?

Amar CP

Thanks @vik_sh , The key is that we've built the infrastructure around deliverability from day one β€” dedicated IP pools with smart rotation, real-time reputation monitoring across ISPs, and MTA under the hood for granular per-domain throttling. We also do proactive suppression management and bounce loop handling so bad signals don't compound. At 1B+ emails/month, it's less about one trick and more about catching issues before ISPs do. Happy to go deeper on any specific aspect!

John Bromley

This looks super interesting - great job Vinoop and team. Keen to test Mailercloud out.

Amar CP

Thanks @johnbromleyΒ , means a lot coming from someone in the space! Would love to hear your thoughts after you test it β€” always value feedback from people who understand the infrastructure deeply. Give it a spin and feel free to reach out directly if you have questions! πŸ™Œ

Abdul Rehman

Congrats on the launch! This looks like a solid upgrade for teams that need both marketing and transactional emails in one place πŸš€

Amar CP

Thanks @abod_rehmanΒ ,That's exactly the vision β€” one platform, no juggling between tools, consistent deliverability across both. If you ever try it out, would love your feedback! πŸš€

John Oliver

This looks brilliant. Is there a secret 'early adopter' code" that makes the second month cost a literal pound? Would love to commit long-term if I can ease into it...

Amar CP

@john_oliver11Β Ha, no secret pound deals unfortunately β€” but we do have a generous free tier to ease in, and Product Hunt launch discounts are live right now! Plenty of room to try before you commit long-term. πŸ˜„

From my personal experience, there are limitations with reaching out to peoples' inboxes rather than spam when sending multiple exactly the same emails or similar. The algorithms also adapt and try to prevent such things. If I want to send for instance 30 emails to different people saying more or less the same things, what is the chance of it reaching these individuals and can this email be twisted 30 times so that it remains sort of original?

Amar CP

@viktorgemsΒ Great observation, ISPs do flag identical bulk content, so personalization genuinely matters β€” even small variations like first names, dynamic content blocks, or personalized subject lines make a real difference. Mailercloud supports merge tags and dynamic content for exactly this. That said, we'd always recommend the content feels naturally relevant rather than artificially "twisted" β€” ISPs are smart enough to detect spinning patterns too. Authentic personalization beats content manipulation every time! 😊
