Kleanly - One tap in the notch locks your keyboard and trackpad

Kleanly lives in your MacBook's notch. Tap it once and your keyboard and trackpad are locked, so you can wipe everything down while your video keeps playing. Kids can slap the keys during a cartoon and nothing gets typed. Double tap the trackpad when you're done. New since our first launch: the notch control, in-app updates, moving your license to a new Mac yourself, and a small tab on displays without a notch.

I like that this doesn’t try to do ten different things It basically solves one annoying problem and stays out of the way.

Thanks Manuel! That is the goal. No Dock icon, no menu bar clutter, it just sits in the notch until you need it and gets out of the way when you are done.

The dark overlay makes sense for screen cleaning too I’d probably turn that on every time I clean the display.

Thanks David! You can leave Clean Screen switched on in Settings and the dark overlay will come up on its own every time you start a session, so it is one tap for both the keys and the display.

i like the double tap to unlock because it gives me a simple physical action to remember instead of searching through menus when I’m finished.

Thanks Kimberly! That was the idea, a gesture your hands remember instead of a button you have to go looking for. Double tap the trackpad and you are back to normal.

I can actually see myself using this while cleaning my screen. Not having to pause a video just to wipe the keyboard is such a small thing, but really convenient.
