Full disclosure, I'm not really sure how to get some exposure on this platform and this post is primarily to help with that. I saw this forum and figured it would be a good start. I'm a software developer with 20+ years of experience, having worked for Fortune 100 companies, as well as co-founded a fintech startup in London (which failed after 6 or 7 odd years). TLDR, I love coding but became a bit disillusioned with the industry after a while. I understand the why's of investor demands and bottom lines, but somewhere along the way I feel like software has become less and less about the people who use it, and more about what can be extracted from them. I want to build beautiful software that actually makes you want to use it, while solving the primary problem it sets out to. I believe in slow and organic growth, as well as honest software that actually listens to the people who use it, and grows with and for them.
