what's new? I liked helpscout when I used it a few years ago
we launched a really great new Free plan with unlimited users and a new brand. Hope that helps!
One of my favorite features of Help Scout is that if someone in customer service forwards and email to me it just goes right into my Gmail inbox. Then when I hit reply, it goes through HelpScout and right back to the person. That allows me to use all the cool email apps that we talk about here on Product Hunt, but the full customer conversation is available for the rest of my team in help scout.
How is it more human than other help desk solutions out there? Would love to know.
there's no customer portal to customize or for customers to have to submit inquiries through. Also, emails don't have ticket numbers or anything like that, every email from Help Scout looks just like an email from Gmail or the like.
it's hard to understand until you see it. Email my company and ask the team to hit reply and say "hi." See what the response email looks like.
Got it Nick. Surprising that lots of help desks still expose these details to the user.
How this is different from freshdesk and zendesk ?

I'm a huge fan of Help Scout, what's new with 2.0?
Hey Nick! The big changes are: 1.) A new look for the app and our company rebrand. Internally we weren’t calling this a 2.0, but the amount of work that went into it is equivalent. Our co-founder Jared wrote about the many visual (and handful of functional) changes in a recent blog post, where he details how the HS brand has evolved over the years: 2.) Fantastic product design and superb engineering make Help Scout one of the only software services that I thoroughly enjoy using. It's actually the only business tool we use that I think is really fantastic top to bottom. Kudos to the team on this launch and the original product!
Great product. Still can't believe that a helpdesk is offered inside the free plan. Huge decision factor for us.
If it continues to benefit from her potential in this way, I am sure it can reach much better places.
We love Help Scout . I didn't hunt this earlier when we updated their partner logo because I think this is just a rebrand (an awesome one mind you). Here's more thoughts on their new brand identity:
We use HelpScout and love it. The rules are simple to implement and tickets stay organized.
