Gloom - Live-coded interactive fiction, inspired by Strudel

by
A simple tool where you write code and immediately see your interactive story running next to it. Inspired by Strudel's live-coding approach but for narrative. Type a few lines, get a playable story. Publish in one click, share via link or QR code, and remix anything you see. The syntax is intentionally minimal. Perfect for: creative coders, interactive fiction fans, educators, or anyone curious about making playable stories without the overhead of game engines.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I've been obsessed with Strudel lately (that live music coding tool where you type and immediately hear your creation). The instant feedback loop is addictive. One night I thought: why doesn't this exist for interactive stories? I wanted something where the gap between typing an idea and seeing it work was basically zero. So I built this. Code on terminal, playable story on a modal. Every keystroke updates. No compile, no export, just... there. Started as a weekend experiment, turned into something oddly satisfying to use. A few friends tested it and made cooler stuff than I imagined, so figured I'd share it more widely. It's rough around the edges but functional. Genuinely curious what people here will create with it, that's the fun part for me. Happy to answer questions or hear feedback! 🙂
