Haha, this paired with vscode-pokemon is going to make me spend way more time on my side projects now. Great job @hyesungoh and @devxb - really cute idea!

Big congrats on the adorable launch, it’s beyond cute! 🎄 Here’s a quirky idea: tie pet evolution to commit types! For example, `feat:` commits could grow festive antlers, `fix:` might add snowflakes, and `doc:` updates could unlock tiny xmas books. It’s a fun, dynamic way to gamify activity while celebrating all aspects of coding. Loving the creativity and keep it coming! 🐾✨

🤩 I really want this! Does it really need access to GitHub tho? Reading commits is public api. No authorising needed I think.

🎉 Congratulations on launching GitAnimals! 🐾 The idea of nurturing virtual pets based on GitHub activity is absolutely adorable. I'm curious - how did you come up with the concept of tying pet growth to commit types? It's such a clever way to gamify coding! I can already imagine developers getting extra motivated to push more commits. 😄 Have you considered adding special holiday-themed pets or accessories for different seasons? Keep up the fantastic work - I can't wait to see how the developer community embraces this cute and motivating tool! 🚀

Hmm, I only commit to private repos, I get 0 contributions in the image. I will not start work in open source just for this. Would have been cool to be able to see real data, but also not safe. All in all, very cool idea, but problem is Github will not give out just contributions number without the data.

This seems like a good thing to pair with a New Years Resolution for anyone that wants to work more on their side projects + fun projects. Helps stay motivated!
