What are the 5 tools you simply couldn't do your work without?

This could be related to your industry, or even a side project you're working on.

Here are my 5 (I couldn't function without them):

  1. Grammarly – proofreading my texts, not just posts, but also client communication

  2. ChatGPT / Claude – mostly brainstorming, help with copy, and summarising

  3. Figma – I can put the basic graphics together quickly.

  4. Translator – sounds incredibly old-school, but English is not my mother tongue

  5. Gmail – and not only for communication, but also for storing ideas and sending myself email reminders for posts

[and soon one more that I am working on – – prevents me from being banned on LinkedIn, so I will not lose my account.]

Mine are: VS Code, Claude, hermes, Canva, and my own tool I'm building for Linkedin profile building :)
There are many more but I highly rely on these 5.

  1. Cursor - Is great for quick debugging.

  2. ChatGPT - Great for proofreading.

  3. GitHub Copilot - Very important for tracking bugs as well.

  4. AWS Sagemaker AI - Great AI tool but can be expensive. Make sure to watch it if you use it.

  5. Salestrics AI - We use our own platform internally to provide platform analytics.

Love this. Here are the five I genuinely couldn't function without:

1. Slack – my actual workplace, for better or worse

2. Claude + Perplexity - Claude is my thinking-out-loud partner, Perplexity stops me from opening fifteen tabs to answer one question

3. Apollo - the only reason my outreach and follow-ups don't fall through the cracks

4. Loom - saying in three minutes what would've been a thirty-minute meeting

5. Google Docs - where messy first drafts go to become slightly less messy

Bonus 6th: Ctruh Studio - admittedly biased, it's what we're building, but I live in it day to day creating 3D and AR experiences without a game engine.

Great list! Mine would be similar, but I'd definitely add Google Search and Notion. ChatGPT helps me brainstorm, Grammarly keeps everything polished, and Gmail is still one of the best tools for organizing ideas. It's interesting how a few simple tools can make such a big difference in daily productivity.

The “I become the glue” line is the one. My test for agent tools is: can they act in the right account, pause before risky writes, and leave proof after? If I’m still tracking credentials, state, and receipts by hand, I’m still the integration layer.

  4. Google search (the OG, still useful as before)

  5. Youtube (best learning platform out there)
