Last year I launched https://mybrandnewlogo.com , an automatic logo maker. One of its internal algorithms is a custom gradient generator. I've decided to make this a free standalone app for frontend developers to automatically generate CSS gradients and recently launched https://www.producthunt.com/post... The goal was to make gradients as easy as possible. I'm curious if this gradient generator is actually useful for CSS devs. I'd love to hear some feedback so I can improve on it.

Hi Community, Thank you @aaronoleary for creating this thread! Tania here with Akily, a free child development app that provides highly personalized activities for parents to do at home with their kids. We launched on Friday and I have a few questions that maybe you can help me answer. Here is our launch link: https://www.producthunt.com/post... We never showed up on the today list, I assume the algorithm is a lot more intricate than we all think, however what puzzled me is that people didn't find my product either by searching on the search box. Does anyone know why this could be? Several people wrote to me letting me know they couldn't find my listing at all. Thanks!

@aaronoleary @taniazapata If there are more than 10 companies ahead of you in votes then you have to scroll to the end of the list of companies launching that day and hit, SEE MORE, or something like that. This may be why your contacts couldn't find the listing. On the point about people searching for your company in the search box -- I don't think you are searchable until the day after you launch. Hope this helps.

@aaronoleary @robert_zalaudek Thanks for chiming in! We were never on the "Today list" even having more upvotes than many of the companies were showing on the list. Regarding the search, we still do not show up. :( Any other ideas?

@aaronoleary @taniazapata The number of votes isn't as important as the quality of the votes. If you had a bunch of people register on product hunt the day you launched and they upvoted you, those people don't count (in PH's eyes) as much as a person who has been a PH user and contributor for some time. I'm not sure what criteria go into the determination. Hope that helps. If you launched and don't come up in the search you may want to let PH know and ask them to make your product visible.

@aaronoleary thanks for setting up the thread and for giving an overview on how to contribute Hey All, We're looking for a handful of users to help beta test a new version of Partneroid , if your our target user (see below) or know someone that is, we'd love to talk or have them try out the product. When we last soft-launched (several months ago), our biggest feedback was to have more comprehensive data (having more data, full stop) and to be able to search for actual partnership rather than companies. We've added those features and increased searchable data set. Our Target Audience : 1. People that have or are currently working on B2B partnerships such as partnership managers. 2. People that need to research B2B partnerships e.g. you're working on a BD team and you've been tasked with finding a distribution or marketing partner for a new product. As part of that task, you'd like to see what other companies have done.
