Creem caught my attention after trying to find a good robust payment solution, with a strong developer focus but also fair/transparent pricing.
Their product ticks all the boxes for me and the 24/7 support has been great. With no fees at all for the first 1000 EUR the price point is very supportive when still finding product market fit.
Theyβre doing a deal for this launch also to extend that by 500 EUR for PH users (next 24 hours only).
Founders @sudoferraz and @alec_erasmus will be available for an AMA all day today to answer questions on the product. Congrats on the launch guys, what inspired you to build the product?
@alec_erasmus@jasondainter
Thank you so much for your kind words and support! We're thrilled that Creem has caught your attention Jason, and to be launching on Product Hunt!
The inspiration behind Creem came from our own experiences and frustrations in the fintech industry. We noticed a gap in the market for a Merchant of Record and payment solution that truly prioritized Small and Medium SaaS businesses while also offering fair and transparent pricing.
We see MoRs serving the needs of Content Creators, Digital Products, Open Source Developers, but no one really addressing the actual needs and functionalities of S&M SaaS businesses.
We sincerely hope that everyone enjoys using Creem and that we can make a positive impact on businesses out there. Our mission is to empower and support you in your journey to success.
As a special offer for our Product Hunt launch, we're excited to provide an additional 500 EUR in processing with 0% fees. To claim this bonus, simply sign up for Creem and send us the code promotion code via the live chat inside the app. We'll then apply it to your account;
I'm happy to answer any other questions today!
@sudoferraz@alec_erasmus@jasondainter perfect work team, will check this out. Using Lemon Squeezy as of now. Hopefully, this will save us some time and money. All the best for launch.
I always struggle with payment solutions. First I tried lemon squeezy it does not work for me properly and has a high fees. Now I am using stripe. But Creem looks good with 0% fees. because new SaaS developers does not make a lot.
@muhammad_salman39
Hey Muhammad, thanks for the comment!
Indeed, we have been Indie Hackers and Founders, and we know how difficult it can be.
Specially when you get surprised by many fees not advertised when you are signing up and integrating.
What would you say was the deal breaker for you with Lemon Squeezy?
@muhammad_salman39
I'm happy to say that you get the founders email addresses with Creem π
Our current onboarding time is averaging 10 minutes from application to acceptance π₯
Now that you are using stripe, are you handling all tax and compliance requirements yourself? Or are you using a separate provider?

Congratulations on the launch! Can you elaborate on your customer support structure? How quickly can users expect responses to their queries?
@mieke_erasmus
Hey Mieke, thanks for the question!
We are super proud to offer live customer support directly from the founders inside of the app!
We typically answer in around 10 minutes to all queries.

Congrats on the Launch!
Considering that you want to entice a smaller-sized clientele, is this solely web/desktop based or do you have plans to do a mobile version?
@lukas_havenga
Hey Lukas, thanks!
When you say mobile version, do you mean a solution to integrate with AppStores?
Or is it something unrelated to AppStores but mobile payments?
Report
@sudoferraz apologies, I wasn't referring to integration but the platform itself, viewing analytics and managing transactions on the go
@lukas_havenga@alec_erasmus
Hey Lukas, complementing what Alec said, during development indeed we haven't focused much on the mobile view. But most of the platform should be at least somewhat usable on mobile, although not super optimized.
Have you struggled while accessing any features on mobile at the moment?
Report
@alec_erasmus@sudoferraz This is expected - I'd like to be able to do some basic reporting, filtering on different metrics and dimensions by period etc. and to persist those would be great or perhaps an export of the data for reporting.
Great job!
@ohansemmanuel
Thanks for the support Ohans!
Unfortunately not yet, is this a use case you would be looking for?
We are thrilled to get requests from users, it makes us deliver 5x faster π
What kind of product are you planning in using Creem for out of interest?
@sudoferraz Most SAAS offer subscriptions. So in all honesty, it makes sense that Creem supports that first.
My use case: I'm building a pay-as-you-go SAAS, which means the billing is centred around usage, not subscriptions.
For context, I use Lemonsqueezy right now for this
Do you have an email newsletter? Would love to stay in touch with the product's development. It's got great potential!
@ohansemmanuel Thanks for the encouraging words! That means a lot β€οΈ
We don't have an email newsletter, but now that you mentioned, we will need to create it π
We do have updates in email for users that are signed up on the app, a blog and our discord community (Link in the docs)!
Regarding the PAYG model, would love to know your thoughts on LS apis and how they cater for your use case. We were looking into a simplified token model that makes the integration easier. Is your specific use case a complex one?
@sudoferraz happy to have a dedicated chat on this (if required). I don't know if I can do the question justice over text here :) My LinkedIn is in my bio (happy to connect and chat about this)
Current use case is graduated pricing. LS apis aren't bad, they do have their quirks though
@ohansemmanuel Sounds good Ohans!
Will shoot you a DM once the launch craziness has passed!

First, I don't think I would have found this without productHunt, so thanks all you guys.
Second, bookmarked and ready to try it out.
third: question, the auto-tax thing, does it also work for EU countries, cause things can go weird over here. So I love the idea of not having to deal with all those tax things.
Finally: I think I had a small bug: first wanted to join using an email address. The site says that a link should have been sent, but I haven't received anything. Worked good with the google auth...
Report
πΉ LOL
Never mind on the bug, the links arrived, just a bit late. I guess the price of success. ;)
@jan_bogaerts
Hey Jan, thanks for the support!
I have SMOOTH news for you, we are specifically GREAT in EU π
We are built to handle all those complexities and boring stuff with VAT and compliance requirements, you can leave everything for us, and all tax will be collected and calculated appropriately depending on the country of the buyer!
I saw your next comment, and indeed we are getting a lot of visits at the moment, it went from 0 to (many) all of a sudden, apologies on it! We are scaling our servers up now β
What kind of product are you interested in using Creem for out of interest?
@jan_bogaerts Hey Jan! We're geared and built for the EU first. We've got you covered on this. If you have time, reach out to us in the chatβwe're happy to help you get started and set up your account.
Report
@sudoferraz It'll be an SaaS product. Still very much under construction, which made the timing of your release perfect. I had been thinking for a while now on how best to approach this and especially regarding the tax regulations. It allows me to shift priorities a little and move the 'payment' part up in the calendar, which is always a good thing.
@jan_bogaerts
Hey Jan, it's great to hear that we will be able to help you with that!
Like @alec_erasmus said, feel free to reach us out in the chat if we can help you in any other way, we are very hands-on π
Have you ever integrated payments before? Or are you looking to do a no-code integration?
In both cases we are here to help!
Dear SaaS founders and entrepreneurs,
We're thrilled to introduce Creem to Product Hunt today! ππ
Our journey began when we realized how complex and often opaque the pricing structures of existing payment solutions were. Many competitors in the market often fail to transparently advertise their fees for various services such as payouts, international transfers, and subscriptions. This lack of clarity can lead to unexpected costs that take founders by surprise when scaling their businesses.
Beyond just providing payment tools, we are deeply inspired by the mission of democratizing access to the same revenue-boosting financial functionalities that industry giants leverage.
Our vision is to level the playing field, enabling smaller businesses and startups to harness the power of sophisticated financial tools that were once the exclusive domain of large corporations.
This mission truly energizes us - the idea that we can empower the underdogs, the innovators, and the dreamers with capabilities that can significantly impact their growth and success. By making these advanced financial tools accessible and manageable for businesses of all sizes, we're not just providing a service; we're fostering innovation, encouraging competition, and potentially reshaping the entire SaaS landscape. This is a cause we wholeheartedly believe in and are committed to pursuing.
That's why we've created Creem - a platform designed to level the playing field and boost your revenue growth without the hefty upfront costs or resource-intensive implementation typically required for financial incentive functionality.
We wanted to build a product that not only simplified the payment process but also provided clear, upfront pricing without hidden fees. π‘οΈ
Our first step towards that mission is live, and Creem now offers:
- Merchant of Record services, handling all tax and compliance requirements.
- Seamless product creation without a single line of code, directly on the platform or through our robust API.
- Frictionless payment links without any integration hurdles.
- Subscription lifecycle management for you and your customers through our customer portal.
- No-Code Pricing Table component.
- Analytics and visualization
We are far from done, and to sweeten the deal for our early adopters from Product Hunt, we are increasing the amount processed with 0% fees (for the first 24 hours)
- 0% fees until $/EUR 1.500,00
Our next steps will be very focused on the embeddable components that will supercharge your revenue growth. While loosely ordered below, we anticipate your feedback to help sculpt our roadmap:
- Embeddable Feature Request component/page enriched with your customer Data (Customer LTV per feature, Medium LTV per vote, etc.).
- Embeddable Dynamic Price component that intelligently adjusts your pricing based on conversion and sales metrics.
- Embeddable Referral program with customizable settings and automatically generated referral links and payments.
- Cutting-edge Affiliate programs and Affiliate Portal seamlessly embeddable into your SaaS.
- Payment Splits for Creators and Revenue sharing to your partners and users.
- Email Marketing and Customer Journey Builder to help your distribution.
We're architecting a future where SaaS businesses of all sizes can flourish independently, laser-focusing on their core products while we take care of the complex financial ecosystem.
Ultimately, our goal with Creem is to democratize access to robust financial tools, making it easier for businesses of all sizes to compete on a global scale and scale their operations with the same tools everyone else has. We're excited to continue this journey and look forward to hearing more from our users about how we can further improve and innovate.
Thank you again for your support, and we're here to answer any other questions you might have!

Congrats, can you share more details about the integration process with existing systems?
I am already integrated with another provider, so I wonder how difficult that would be.
@takaman
They Taka, thanks for the comment and the question!
We currently do not have migration processes set up as we are still early stage. Would you still be able to consider moving and using Creem without migrating your existing customers on the beginning? Or is that a deal breaker?
Report
@sudoferraz@sudoferraz Thanks for the quick response, Gabriel! I completely understand that you're still in the early stages, and I appreciate the transparency. While migrating existing customers would be ideal, Iβm definitely open to exploring a phased approach. Iβd love to start testing the integration with new customers first to see how the platform performs, and then, we could consdier a full transition down the line. Looking forward to seeing how Creem can complement our current setup!
@takaman
That's great to hear Taka! I'm happy to jump into a call after the launch craziness has passed next week?
Let me know if it works for you and we can set something up!
Iβm so happy to see some competition in this space. I always find it funny that Stripe is supposed to be the βbetterβ PayPal when itβs really not that easy to use and the fees are not much better.
Iβd love to see a link to the GitHub with templates for NextJS, etc. and a guide for how to migrate an existing app that uses Stripe!
@jamesmurdza Hey James, thanks for the encouraging words!
Indeed, we see the same situation as well, Stripe became too complex and focused on being a platform now, specially for beginners it is quite overwhelming! They are much more focused on enterprises now;
Regarding the NextJS template we were definetely thinking about it!
Are there any other services online that you think have great templates?
We love @resend for inspiration!
@jamesmurdza@resend@sudoferraz
Definitely good to see some competition in this space, especially after Stripeβs acquisition of LemonSqueezy.
I would recommend checking out this Next.js template that specifically targets SaaS: https://github.com/ixartz/SaaS-B...
Itβs free, open-source, and comes with all the essentials for building a SaaSβauthentication, multi-tenancy, roles & permissions, i18n, landing page, database, logging, and testing.
Help you build your SaaS faster and it handles all the necessary features.
@jamesmurdza@resend@ixartz Hey Remi, love it!
Are you a maintainer of this project? We would love to send a PR to it integrating Creem and adding supporting documentation!
@jamesmurdza@resend@sudoferraz
Yes, I'm the author and the maintainer of the project.
It's definitively missing in the project, missing a payment provider like Creem.
You can find my email in the repository, send me an email. I can also do the integration.
