Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Ludmilla, and I’m thrilled to share Cosmy with you.
Cosmy is an astrology app reimagined as a daily self-care and mindset tool. No fluff, no chaos, and definitely no crystal balls. Just a clean, helpful way to check in with yourself every day.
We originally built this idea out of real usage patterns from our dating app community, people weren’t just into astrology for fun; they were using it to reflect, to feel grounded, and to better understand their mood and energy.
So we decided to build something new: ✨ Personal ✨ Simple ✨ Actually useful in your day-to-day
Would love your thoughts on:
What role does self-care play in your day-to-day?
Do you use any mindset rituals or reflection tools now?
What would make an app like Cosmy genuinely useful for you?
Thanks for checking us out — excited to hear your feedback and ideas 💫
I am a frequent user of self care apps and I love all things astrology. The combination of both in one app is something I was looking for quite some time. I am super excited to add Cosmy to my daily routines and can't wait to integrate all its insights – especially a big fan of having the possibility to create bonds with family and friends. Definitely worth checking it out!

Hey everyone! I’m Farshid, the designer behind Cosmy’s UX/UI.
We set out to create something calm, meaningful, and genuinely useful — a space to reflect and explore astrology in a fresh way 🌙
One thing I focused on was making complex insights feel light, visual, and easy to connect with.
Would love your thoughts:
Does design matter to you in self-care apps?
What would make you come back after day one?
Thanks for checking us out 💫

Hi@farshid_darvishi , I've been using astrology and wellness apps for quite some time but with Cosmy I finally see an app that not only combines these aspects but also offers a great experience while using it. The design is clear and not as distracting or overwhelming as other apps and I love the "clean" set up. Definitely a reason to use Cosmy longterm. Great job and congrats on the successful launch!

Hello Farshid!
Well done! I really like the design. In my mind, this is exactly how astrology should look.
A lot of things. Different apps are part of that mix.
Yes, design matters a lot. I would even say it’s a “maker’s signature” in this kind of app, because market is full of them
Pushes hahaha. But seriously: regular updates and personal insights are key. Doesn’t matter if it’s day 1, day 7, or day 30 - when I open the app, I want to see something new and personal.

@farshid_darvishi so proud of this launch, specially after we got the Apple appreciation for the design during our App Review call! This has been a great project! I'm really looking forward to the new features!
Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Aleh, one of the developers behind Cosmy.
From a dev side, making everything feel smooth and snappy while keeping things personal was a big focus. We built Cosmy to be lightweight but flexible enough to evolve with users' needs and keeping that balance between performance and a calming UX was a really fun challenge.
I’d love to hear your thoughts:
What makes an app feel “trustworthy” or “well-built” to you?
Is it speed? Design? No crashes? The little details?
Thanks for checking it out 🚀

@aleh_hutnikau I think since the very beginning we all got really excited by how easy this app would be, and how it would serve different audiences! I totally agree that having built Cosmy to be super lightweight was a great idea and it has been super cool to see it happen!
I’m also curious to hear what others think makes an app feel trustworthy or “well-built.” Is it about polish, or how intuitive it feels in your daily routine?
I rarely write reviews, but this app really deserves attention! After just a couple of days of use, I felt like a lot of things were starting to fall into place, from understanding myself to understanding current life processes.
I started(a) better understand your strengths and weaknesses, learned how to work with the energies of the day and plan important events.
I recommend it to anyone who wants to understand themselves more deeply and discover new horizons through astrology. It's not just an app — it's a real guide to your inner universe!

Hey everyone! I’m Jens, the founder of Cosmy.
The idea for Cosmy actually came from something we kept seeing in our dating apps (e.g. Jaumo): people really care about astrology. It's a trend that got more and more visible since the pandemic. Not just for fun, but as a way to connect and start conversations. That stuck with me.
So we built Cosmy with that in mind. One of my favorite features is Bonds. It lets you see how you match with someone (a date, a friend, even your partner) based on your birth charts. It’s a light, fun way to understand your connections a bit deeper... through the stars!
Would love to hear what you think.

@jens_kammerer I personally also like the percentages, and that soft nudge of today you should focus in these 3 areas part. I really like have the Affirmation too, it helps after reading through the details of the day.
I'm really interested in seeing what people have to say about it!

As the head of engineering on the Cosmy team, I'm obviously biased - but I'm also proud of what we've built. Cosmy is more than just another astrology app. We worked hard to merge real wellness practices with personalized astrological insights, in a way that doesn't feel like fluff.
From a tech side, we spent months refining the backend to support accurate, dynamic charts and recommendations. The goal was always to make astrology feel less abstract and more actionable. We wanted users to actually do something with the insights they get, not just read daily horoscopes and forget about them.
We also prioritized performance and privacy - no creepy tracking, no laggy UI.
We're not claiming to solve your life with the stars. But if you're into astrology and you're trying to build better habits, Cosmy gives you a tool that respects both sides of that equation.
Excited to see what users think. We're just getting started.

Hi everyone! I'm Manuel and I'm the Head of Product behind Cosmy. It's super exciting finally being able to share with the world what we've been working on for the past many months.
The idea for building Cosmy came to us because we noticed that more and more users from our dating apps (e.g. Jaumo) care about astrology and use elements from it (e.g. moon phase, zodiac signs, etc) to help them make decisions in life and about the relationships they have with others. However, when we looked at most of the astrology apps out there we found them extremely confusing and requiring lots of advanced astrology knowledge to even make sense of them. With Cosmy, we wanted to create an app that uses astrology to provide guidance in an easy and intuitive way, accessible to beginners and advanced users alike; and that puts your relationships at the center of the experience, thanks to our Bonds feature.
We'd love to hear what are your thoughts about Cosmy, both from people totally new to astrology as well as from those that have used other astrology apps in the past:
Do you think Comsy actually succeeds at making astrology fun, intuitive and accessible?
Do you like the fact that relationships with important people in your life is such a core feature?
What feature would you like us to add next?
Thanks for checking out Cosmy! <3

@manuelflara So well said, Manu, Bonds is honestly one of my favorite parts too, specially because I got a 100% with my husband, lol.
Curious what others think: does Cosmy feel easier than the usual astro apps?

Congratulations to the Cosmy team on your Product Hunt launch! The idea that people use astrology more for reflection and self-understanding than for "predictions" really resonates. Cosmy seems to offer just that: a mindset tool without the noise.
What was the biggest technical or design challenge in distilling something as vast as astrology into something simple and personal for daily use?
What kind of concrete insights can a user expect from their daily check-in? How does that "personalization" translate into the experience?
Report
Maker
@pastuxso Thanks for your question! I would say one of the biggest challenges from a product design perspective was balancing the views of two different groups that we had within the team (Which represents the two kinds of users that might be interested in using Cosmy.): those who were heavy astrology users which, even if they understood the value of a more accessible user experience, also wanted to see the astrology data that we were using to come up with the insights and recommendations we showed to users (Birth chart, position of planets, aspects, etc), And on the other side, those that were more on the beginner level and often felt overwhelmed by all the "hard astrology" terms that most other astrology apps bombard you with. In the end, we opted for a design Where the main screens all are very accessible and barely mention astrology or technical details. But if you dig deeper or go to some more advanced sections, you can find that information as well, if you want to.
As of how the personalization translates into the experience: in order to generate all the insights and astrology details we show in the app, we use all the information that the user gives during sign up (Birth date, birth time, place of birth, and so on), Along with all the current planetary details, Then, from that, calculate details like your birth chart and other astrology data; And keeping all that into consideration, we generate the more easy to read insights. And when it comes to generating compatibility reports or insights for each of the bonds that you add for every person in your life, we take both your information as well as also their information to make these calculations.

@manuelflara Thanks so much for the detailed explanation.
That's a really smart way to handle the design challenge of balancing the needs of advanced vs. beginner astrology users. Keeping the main experience simple and offering the deeper data for those who want to dig in makes total sense. It directly supports the 'zero woo, clarity not overwhelm' goal.
And appreciate you clarifying how the personalization works.
Really valuable insights into the thinking behind @Cosmy . Wishing you continued success on the launch! Bravo!

I really like this app. What I like is the mix they did between astrology with wellness and spirituality.
Life is about understanding yourself on a deeper level, finding ways to live more mindfully and encourages personal growth and self-awareness.
I will test this app for a month to see if a love it!
