Until now, bricksolvr.com opened straight into the converter. Great if you already knew what it did less great if a link brought you there cold.

bricksolvr.com now shows what BrickSolvr does before you open it: what it's for, what comes out the other end, and models you can try in a single click. The converter itself moved to bricksolvr.com/app, where it belongs.
I remade the video to show the full BrickSolvr experience - from choosing or uploading a 3D model to customizing the bricks, exploring the result, building it layer by layer, and downloading the complete parts list.
The video is now embedded in the Getting Started guide, too.
A brick design is only useful if you can build it from the box you already have. v1.3.0 is about closing that gap tell BrickSolvr which bricks you own, call the colors what you call them, and the design comes back in your language.
A piece can hide inside a layer. A weak spot can stay invisible until you pick the build up. And one enthusiastic camera move can fling the whole thing off-screen.
While using the step-by-step guide, hover over a brick or tap it on tablet / mobile to highlight its border and see its exact size and color in a tooltip.
Anonymous usage data showed that some visitors tried to start with an image rather than a 3D model. It made me realize that the distinction isn t always obvious especially if you re unfamiliar with 3D files.
Instead of showing a generic error, BrickSolvr now explains what a 3D model file is, lists the supported formats, points people toward free models, and offers an image-import waitlist.
BrickSolvr launches tomorrow. I built it to close the gap between a blocky 3D preview and a model you can actually build: upload an STL, OBJ, GLB/glTF, or PLY, choose the size, colors, and brick inventory, then get a stable layout, exact parts list, and layer-by-layer guide.
Everything runs locally in the browser.
