This new app sounds pretty promising, Brad and Eric have come up with something really helpful and unique, in a time when data security stuff is so important, good job team, apps like NerdWallet and Credit Karma focus so much on your data for ads, this has potential to be a game-changer, looking forward to seeing how it impacts the market, though I wonder how easy it will be for consumers to switch over from more traditional lenders

@kenchanaco We're not a lender. BUT there are real, live, traditional lenders in the app!!! That's what makes this a start-up with legs :). We integrate lenders into an entirely new "start your loan anonymously lending channel. Great comment, thanks.

Congrats on the launch! The Aster Key App is a game-changer for loan applications! With top-notch encryption protecting my data and keeping it away from shady data sellers, I finally feel safe applying for loans online. It's a win-win – I get peace of mind, and lenders get a secure way to connect with me. I love knowing my info is safe and that this app puts my privacy first. It's a must-have for anyone looking for a trustworthy loan experience!

This new mortgage app sounds interesting, but isn't it just another privacy-focused finance tool like DuckDuckGo or Brave but for home loans, seems a bit overhyped to me, sure data privacy is important but do we really need another app to protect our data when so many others already claim to do it better, it does make you wonder if these "anonymously" features actually hold up in practice, anyone else think it might be a bit too good to be true?

@qualiqaengineer The concept is to get data off centralized servers and controlled by the data owner (you). It's integrated with real lenders. Its a ramp to on-chain, Web3/Web5 - but works today as we use the phone as a node not waiting for future tech. You are free to be a skeptic; that's healthy. My first start-up invented how mobile is used in real estate, pre-iPhone. A lot of smart people said phone is too small to be used to search for real estate (now its like 80% of search), but didn't see how GPS would change everything (it wasn't in phones yet). Same thing here, you WILL end up controlling and permissioning your data ;), its more of a when. We're gonna be there as it grows ;), join us.

Hey Brad, congrats on the launch, this app sounds super helpful and could be a game changer in protecting people’s data, any plans to add features for easier integration with existing finance tools?
Aster Key Brad Blumberg
@sysdevguru We would love to connect in wealth planning apps, so people can go from there to our mortgage marketplace and start applying in anon mode, with data they already have in their app verified. Most of our integrations are with tools lenders use to make the data flow safer. But if you have ideas for the former, let us know!

This app seems like a breath of fresh air in an industry that desperately needs more focus on consumer privacy, Kudos to the team for making this happen.

@daniel_henry4 Thank you. We are working HARD! (like all of you makers!)

Really impressed by Aster Keys approach to data security. Having the option to keep my financial information encrypted and private is a huge advantage.

@jonathan_prime Yes! Thank you for your support!

Its great to see a product that finally puts consumer privacy first. Its encrypted storage and anonymous communication features are exactly what the market needs.

@bradblumberg this is great. With the growing number of security breaches, it's hard not to think about the extent to which our private information is going to travel without our knowledge. Looking forward to using this at some point in time.
Aster Key Brad Blumberg
@udit_naik, how nice to hear from you - and via Product Hunt, no less! It's been many years! I can't wait for you to try it. Will it be for a move back east? :).

Saw this new app on a random tech blog, gotta say the idea of starting a mortgage anonymously is kinda out there, but hey, not sure how mainstream lenders will actually respond, do they even care about anonymity when they're all about your data security features sound solid but let's see if they hold up in real life and don't become another target for hackers like everything else these days, thoughts anyone?
Aster Key Brad Blumberg
@dialogdevsenior Here's out take. Most new anon projects can't get mainstream lenders to go for it. Or, new projects are so far out tech-wise that adoption is a decade away. For Aster Key, we have lenders on board, adding one per week! Our last start-up had over 12 patents on mobile data, so we like using the phone as a decentralized node and then moving up the on-chain, defi, and Web3 on-ramps where and when it makes sense. Yes, hackers are smart, and every big, centralized database is not secure; which is why getting data off them is the key.

Cool idea but how much of this "anonymous" stuff do we actually need, like how many people are really that worried about this and what about if the system has bugs or gets hacked, aren't you just adding another layer to get worried about?
Aster Key Brad Blumberg
@digibizdev well, when someone tries to steal my stuff in person or digitally - I'm not cool with that. And I am equally pissed at how companies manage and share our data, which get hacked all the time if you read the news. I want to own and control my data, so I want it off others' servers. I want to permission it, know where it is. Go to any tech conference, and you'll hear vendors talking about "creepy cool" tech, as they call it, that is so invasive and passed around in ways that will get hacked. Let's stop that when we can :) Not another layer, it's reducing the amount of layers.
