I have been interested in this "relationship intelligence" space for a while. I think Linkedin is TREMENDOUSLY lacking in this area which makes for an opportunity. I'm curious how you compare to Relationship Science and Reachable? I always thought the "best path" feature is a billion dollar opportunity if done right

@mrmikesmith Hi, Mike. RelSci is a repository of information on influential people. Affinity is analyzing your team's communication streams and automatically turning that into valuable data right in your workflow. So every person and company your team has talked to will be analyzed. We are then able to see who everyone knows and how well, informing you on your best path to an introduction. You can upload a list of prospects or just query one name in Affinity and instantly see our relationship intelligence at work. Affinity also allows you to drill deeper to have a clear understand of the nature of every communication or meeting (this can be customized with our privacy settings). You can also use our product, Alliances, which allows you to connect outside your company to maybe an investor or advisor, and see who they know and how well. Affinity puts you in the driver seat by making relationship data actionable. This is why even LinkedIn is a customer. Happy to chat more if you have any questions :)

We've been using Affinity for over a year, and it is an amazing CRM platform for deal makers. Where it is exceptional is being able to leverage the full network of an organization. Not only does it save me time, but it gives me much better access to what my team is working on. While Affinity started off working with VCs and other investment firms, it has branched out into other areas such as Sales. Anyone in a customer, prospecting or external facing role can make good use of Affinity.

Do you support any email or calendar system?
Shubham Goel
@beedesignllc We support Gmail as well as most versions of Microsoft Exchange (2007 upto Office 365). What email/calendar system are you using?
Brandon Bayer
@shubham_goel1 that’s a bummer! I use Fastmail.
Shubham Goel
@beedesignllc Oh no :( Do they have IMAP support? We might be able to get you onboard if they do. Drop me a line at shubham at affinity.co and we can go from there!
Brandon Bayer
@shubham_goel1 yes, they do support IMAP. I’ll email you.

In regards to my con comment, sometimes searches for people do not show the person you are looking for, but if you search for them under the company the person works at they may appear there. But overall, aside from issues with search functionality, it's a great application.

Pros:

Easy to use, easy to track history

Cons:

Search functionality may need to be improved

Anne Gherini
Thanks for your comment. I will pass this feedback on search to our eng team.

Looking forward to where Affinity goes!

Pros:

I like the reminders of emails to send to people.

Cons:

Wish more people used it, because it's limiting if you only have a handful that do.

Anne Gherini
Thanks Kate! Based on our current sales trends I guarantee more people will be on and looking to connect in this next year ;) Also, you can Ally with someone even if they don't have an Affinity account. Both Allies will be able to see who each other knows and how well (no contact info given). Your Ally can connect with you for free.

I think Affinity is a great supplement to LinkedIn. It obviously doesn’t have the scale / user base that LinkedIn does (yet!), but it allows you to see pretty incredible information about your contacts’ networks. I think this is a great tool that everyone interested in relationship building / networking should try out.

Pros:

Great, detailed info

Cons:

None yet

This seems to be purely B2B... safe to assume there aren't any options for individuals or 1-3 startup teams?
