Lately I ve been thinking about what it really takes to start something new.

Starting something new is messy.
You don t get there by planning.
You get there by failing a lot.
Then you adapt.

I learned that long before tech, on stage as a dancer.
You miss a step, but the show must go on.
The audience doesn t even know the choreography, and sometimes neither do you.

A few days ago, a community contributor reached out and said he'd built a Raycast extension for Vartiq, completely on his own.
Moments like this remind me why building in public and staying close to the community matter so much.
You can t be everywhere.
You can t build everything.

How do remote teams capture a real emotional heartbeat without surveys?

Hey Product Hunt! I'm Christian, a founder working in the wellbeing/remote work space.

Something I keep seeing in remote and hybrid teams:

• We have tons of operational data but almost zero emotional data.

• Annual surveys are too slow.

• Monthly forms are too long.

Bloomberg reported today that Meta (read: Facebook) is "considering potential budget cuts as high as 30% for the metaverse group next year." That's the same group behind the Quest VR headsets and the online VR game Horizon Worlds. During its annual budgeting sessions, CEO Mark Zuckerberg usually asks execs to identify 10% in cuts, but "the metaverse group was asked to cut deeper this year given that Meta has not seen the level of industry-wide competition over the technology that it once expected."

Now, we're old enough to remember when Zuckerberg went all in on the metaverse in 2021. He, uh, even changed the company's name.

I notice a weird pattern in myself and people around me in tech: there s always a new course, book, newsletter, or even playbook . We consume more than ever, but I m not sure we apply more than before. It feels productive to always be learning , but sometimes I wonder if it s just a smarter form of procrastination.

On the flip side, tech moves so fast that if you don t keep learning, you can fall behind quickly.Do you set a hard line where you stop researching and just execute? Or if you had to guess, what s your ratio of learning time vs doing time?
