Release notes, July 18: paste a link list into Compose, drafts keep your sign-off, safer links
... three places: what generated drafts are allowed to do, the Compose screen, and navigation. What changed: Paste a link list straight into Compose. If your next issue starts in a spreadsheet, doc, or Slack message, paste the whole list.
HeyNews
extracts the links, removes duplicates, and shows what it will add before opening any pages. They become one-off Stories in your draft selection, in paste order. Larger lists keep working if you close the window, and you can retry ... ... survive generation. Calls to action are linked only when the link comes from a Story you selected or a reusable link you approved in your AI Writer's Voice Profile. Every link is checked before a draft saves.

How I built an AFK coding-agent loop to ship HeyNews (issue to merge, without babysitting)
... spent most of my career doing non-technical work, and I now build our product, @
HeyNews
. I got there by talking to AI coding agents night after night. The catch: the agents are good company right up until 4am, when you're still hitting approve every thirty seconds and what you actually want is sleep. So I built a loop I can walk away from and wrote up exactly how it works: https://blog.heynews.co/afk-codi... The short version: I fill ... ... hard part is the structure around it: enough that the work stays legible and safe to leave running while you're not watching. That structure is the moat, not the model. It's the same instinct behind

Release notes, May 20: pause your subscription, cleaner cancellation, better story titles
... release notes. Most of what shipped is in two places: subscription controls and content quality. What changed: Pause your subscription for a month. New control in Settings > Subscription. Billing stops, your existing newsletters and settings stay readable, and
HeyNews
resumes automatically at the end of the month. Use it when you need a break without losing your setup. Cleaner cancellation. If you want out, share a brief reason, review any save options (including switching to a cheaper plan ... ... search. It now checks titles, summaries, source names, and URLs together, so you can find a story by topic, site, or link instead of just the exact headline. Plus the usual fixes: Stripe Portal cancellations now sync back to

What's new: connect once and start writing sooner, wider story window, Content Desk keeps your edits
... disappear behind plan-specific upgrade prompts as long as they're inside the 12-month storage horizon. Content Desk keeps your edits. Adding a URL story is less brittle. If a page has thin metadata or extraction is partial,
HeyNews
keeps the title, details, tags, and content you entered. You can also edit story titles and details after saving. Imported stories keep those edits for the current newsletter only, so shared story records don't get rewritten for your other ...

Release notes, May 13: multi-publication context and smarter source syncing
... everyone, posting this week's release notes. Most of what shipped is multi-publication plumbing. If you run more than one newsletter from a single
HeyNews
account, this is the one to read. What changed: Story picks stay in the right publication. Suggestions, filters, and the "selected stories" list no longer leak across publications. Each one only sees its own sources and audience. Cleaner handling of older stories. If a story is outside your plan's access window, we keep ...
