Hey everybody,
Yigit here! I am developing a personal finance app mainly based on what features I wish an app to have and it is on google play closed test now. Here is a quick summary:The app's main value proposition is being able to keep track of your expenses 'automatically'. The rationale behind is the fact that in my country banking laws restrict individual's access to open banking apis. That is, you cannot have an API access to your bank to exchange information and keep track of your expenses unless you are corporate. According to my research, this feature is available in US and EU but only with certain restrictions in the latter.
I thought it could be sutaible time to ask the community about their needs about such an app and can guide me a long way before I commit further. Would you be so kind enough to answer below questions? Any replies are appreciated and thanks in advance.
Do you use personal finance app?
Could you please share your the most essential must-have features of the personal finance app of your choise and tell me why?
Under which circumstances would you give another app a try?
What would be the ideal price point for such a service in your perspective?

Lums hit #11 organically on Product Hunt yesterday! A massive thank you to everyone who supported us by upvoting, commenting, and downloading the app.
The launch conversations highlighted one thing we ve felt since day one: most budgeting apps ask for way too much effort before giving you any value.
Usually, you download an app and spend the next hour fixing categories, adjusting settings, and correcting transactions. By the time you're "set up," you've already lost the motivation that made you download it in the first place.
@yulia_kuznetsova3 put it perfectly! She said she added her accounts to Lums and it just showed her where her money was going. No fixing things first. Just clarity. @selina4 shared something similar. After months of bills piling up and small charges slipping by, having everything side-by-side finally made things click.

Hey Product Hunt!
We ve all been there: you look at your bank account and see a charge, but you can't tell if it s a subscription you forgot about or just a grocery run. Tracking bills shouldn't be that annoying!
So, we built Recurring Charge to fix this.
It automatically separates your regular shopping from your actual recurring bills like monthly software, gym memberships, or bi-monthly invoices.Even more with Lums AI

Two things I'm curious about:
How do you monitor your apps for issues and keep track of costs across paid services? Especially if you want to avoid any unexpected bills.
When adding a new feature, how do you figure out which services to use? And do you find the setup process annoying enough to slow you down?

Maybe this post will help makers understand how much people are willing to spend, what products are useful to them, and what the main motive for buying is.
I personally try to keep track of how much and what I spend. Before I invest in something, I consider:
what will be the return on it (i.e. whether I will earn something by buying/investing in a product),
whether it will be profitable for me in the long term,
whether it will save me time.

Every year I reflect on how I spent money in the previous year. Previously, I have manually scraped my bank statements and put together a report, but 2025 was interesting because I built a fairly overkill personal finance product to make this report easy to generate for myself.
Because it is really easy, I m going to do a deep dive on how I spent money in 2025. (I was able to put this all together in ~10 mins)

Hey everyone,
I m curious to know: What are some of the apps, tools, or services you ve discovered that have truly transformed the way you work or build your startup/product, or basically helped you in day-to-day work productivity? It could be anything from project management, productivity hacks, automation, communication, or even wellness tools that help you stay focused.

Over the past few years, I ve ended up with a scattered stack of tools domains, SaaS subscriptions, plugins, licenses, hosting, etc.
Some are in Google Keep, some in emails, and others I forgot I even signed up for.
I m curious how do you track everything you ve purchased for your projects or startup?
Do you use a password manager?
Manual spreadsheet?
Some kind of custom-built dashboard?

Just asking, QuickBooks? Google Sheets? Something you hacked together with AI?
We built a very simple AI-driven tool and want to hear what s working (or not) for early-stage teams.

I see a lot of tech products on Product Hunt that are meant to improve someone else's business situation, and as many makers as possible are ideally targeting the B2B market.
However, this past week I've also seen a lot of "fun" products that not only made it into the featured category but also earned one of the product of the day titles.
