Workflow Automations for the Human 👾 AI Workforce

A workflow automation platform that routes tasks to the right agent – human or AI. By connecting tools like Slack, Jira and Notion – Trace breaks down existing workflows, spots automation opportunities and embeds AI agents to repetitive tasks.

Congrats on the launch! Trace looks like a super practical way to cut through messy workflows and let AI handle the boring parts. Curious — what was the biggest challenge you faced while building it?
@jason123 Thanks! Biggest challenge? Surprisingly enough, UX. People are used to treat AI agnets as one-shot systems, seldom going further "working" with them to get to the right output. Imagine the same issue, but at scale where you are "managing" multiple agents in parallel.
Striking the right UX tradeoffs feels sisyphean at times
Of course, on the tech side.. we still have to keep pushing and get closer to a system people can trust with as little oversight as possible.

Trace
Thanks! The biggest challenge was building the unified company index — getting AI to understand context across tools without disrupting existing workflows.
Trace
Thanks! The tricky part was getting AI to understand context across all tools without breaking existing workflows.

If you ever have any more question, please share them with us. Thank you
Really interesting launch. Trace looks like it could help a lot with automating the kind of repetitive workflows that drain time in marketing and dev teams. Can Trace also be applied to outreach workflows (e.g. pulling in site lists, enriching data, and assigning tasks between people + AI agents)?
Trace
@sofiia_havryliuk, that is correct! We are suitable for any sort of workflow; it depends on the amount of automation needed. Sometimes the whole thing can be automated if the project you are doing is not crazy enough 😄
Trace
@sofiia_havryliuk we are pushing Trace as the tool for anyone to use, especially non-tech people. Feel free to show it to your teammates from ops or legal
@sofiia_havryliuk scrape agent + search agent + text agent are you best friends in this case
Trace
Yes — Trace can handle outreach workflows too, from gathering data to assigning tasks across team members and AI agents.
Trace
Thanks a lot!

Ngl, the way Trace auto-assigns tasks to either AI or people without messing up your team’s flow is genius—so much wasted time saved, fr. Love this direction!
Trace
@cruise_chen thanks Cruise, appreciate it!
Trace
@cruise_chen +++ we don't want to force teams to re-build the way the work to integrate with us. Simple to integrate = more customers!
@cruise_chen thanks for supporting us, Cruise

Oh, wow! The UI is so intuitive and friendly. I've always been a bit intimidated by the "chic" and serious tone of similar tools, but this one feels much more approachable from its atmosphere alone!
Trace
@shawn_park_f12 thanks, Shawn! That's what we are striving for - a UI/UX that non-technical people can easily understand. Using other automation tools (like n8n or Zapier) is not hard for a tech person like me, but when we talk with account managers, people ops, or marketing teams running a campaign, or compliance teams preparing an audit, these tools are hard for them to grasp. I am glad to hear that we are working in the right direction!
Trace
@shawn_park_f12 "The UI is so intuitive and friendly" Thanks a lot, we worked very hard on it! Will keep an eye on keeping it simple going forward 😄
@shawn_park_f12 thanks for checking the app Shawn 🙌
Trace
@shawn_park_f12 Glad it feels approachable — making Trace intuitive was a big focus.

Trace looks really powerful. I like how it connects tools we already use like Slack, Jira, and Notion, so there’s no extra setup headache. The idea of routing tasks to the right agent — whether human or AI — makes workflows faster and smarter. The best part is spotting automation opportunities we usually miss and letting AI handle the boring repetitive stuff. This feels like the kind of tool that saves time, reduces mistakes, and actually makes teams enjoy their work more.
Trace
@istiakahmad thanks, Istiak, you got it right! It's actually shocking how often bad prompting or incomplete data turns a useful agent into a useless one. We are on a mission to solve it!
@istiakahmad great catch on enjoying the work more as you start using Trace - team scan spend more time doing knowledge-work rather than boring useless stuff
Trace
Exactly — that’s the goal: faster workflows, fewer errors, and letting teams focus on the work that actually matters.
Trace
Thanks a lot! We really appreciate it!
