hey PH Ola here, founder of Specsight, launching today
I ve been building Specsight solo since March, with no employees. just me and a team of AI agents. they handle outreach, call prep, fundraising research (they screened 3,000+ VC firms for me), content, support and a lot of the dev work
@wojtekszkutnik thanks Wojtek!! yes it does! you can ask Specsight about your product right inside Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client: specsight.app/docs/mcp-and-api. and honestly Prelint + Specsight would be a fun combo, you catch the decisions agents make, we show what actually shipped 👀
Well done Ola! 🔥 We ship fast with AI as well - so we do know keeping everyone on the same page about actual changes is a constant battle. One thing I enjoy most is that it comes straight from the code, i.e. nobody has to write anything right? Just to clarify, does it work for teams with several products? Is it rather one product per setup?
@artstavenka1 thanks Art!! 🔥 yes, nobody writes a thing. Specsight reads the code on every release and keeps everything current on its own. and yes, it works great with several products! each product gets its own map, all in one place for the whole company. and if one product is spread across several repos or services, you connect them all and Specsight sees it as one product
Summarization of release notes always takes some time, hopefully with Specsight will be much easier! I’ll definitely try👍🏻
@karol_pszczolkowski thanks Karol! release notes always end up as the last thing anyone has time for after shipping, and they’re usually written from tickets, so half of what actually changed gets missed 😅 with Specsight they come straight from what actually shipped, so they’re accurate and take a fraction of the time
would love for you to try it, code PH2026 gets you 50% off for 3 months!
how does your team handle release notes today?
The living map idea really clicks for me — sales demoing what the product actually does today, not last month, is a real pain point. One question: when a feature is merged but behind a flag or only partially shipped, does the map mark it differently from a fully live feature, or do they show up the same way?
@jcbuilds great question. Specsight reads the flag from the code, so a flagged feature shows up with its condition, like "when X is enabled, the user can…". so sales sees not just that it exists, but who actually gets it. a separate "partially shipped" label on the map is a great idea though, adding it to the list! how does your team handle flags today?
This is really cool. As a PM on a small tech team I spend a lot of time investigating problems and stakeholder questions. Excited to try this!
@miriam_ruth thanks Miriam! as a PM you end up being the company’s translator. digging through code and Slack to answer "how does this work?" or "did this change?" instead of deciding what to build next 😅
that’s exactly what Specsight takes off your plate. code PH2026 gets you 50% off for 3 months
curious, what kind of questions do you get asked most?
@olapietka Sounds great, thank you!
This is a fantastic idea! Even before AI, teams often weren't made aware of changes, and I would have to spend time out of my day explaining them individually.
@neverpeterout thanks Peter! that’s exactly how it started for me too :) even before AI, there was always this disconnect between development and business. only devs knew what was going on because they were literally building the product, and everyone else waited for their update. for me it was always absurd. everyone should know how the product works and what’s changing, but we all just accepted that’s how it is
then AI changed the scale. now nobody writes or reads every line anymore, so nobody really knows, devs included. your product becomes a black box and we just assume the specs and tickets are accurate, when in reality AI ships so many changes so fast that they’re outdated the moment they’re written
with Specsight everyone sees what changed without anyone having to explain it!
Congrats, Ola! 🚀 Having worked with you, I know how many "how does this actually work?" questions you used to field. Turning that into a product that answers them straight from the code is brilliant. Upvoted and rooting for you!
@marcin_polak haha Marcin, you saw it firsthand 😄 all those "how does this actually work?" questions are literally why Specsight exists. thank you so much, means a lot coming from you 🫶🚀
