PaymentKit is a multi-processor billing platform for SaaS and e-commerce. It routes payments across processors, vaults tokens independently, and keeps subscriptions billing even if a MID gets shut down. No code to launch, full API when you need it.
@yara_simone Yes, that's the core of it. The tokens are vaulted with us as network tokens instead of living inside the processor, so the next renewal just runs on the new one. No email, no update card form, no re-authentication. From the customer's side nothing happened

Vaulting tokens independently is interesting. Does Paymentkit also make moving existing customers between processors simple?
@lucyjane Yes, and that's one of the main reasons we built vaulting the way we did. Because the network tokens live in a vault you control instead of inside one processor's, moving existing customers is a routing change, not a migration. You add the new processor, point traffic at it, and your subscribers never enter a card again. Same when you drop one. Happy to go deeper on the mechanics if it's useful!

Wait, if a processor gets shut down, existing subscriptions can keep running without customers doing anything?
@aria_turner As long as you have a second processor integrated into Payment Kit you can automatically swap processors without customers having to do anything. They won't even know you swapped underlying banks / processors and your analytics will stay consistent. You can set this up to happen automatically or you can manually swap the processors within 5 - 10 seconds.

Curious about the routing setup. can teams decide their own rules for where payments go?
@nathan_holdstein36 Yeah you can. In the Payment Orchestration settings you can set up rules based on a number of things including, but not limited to country, card type, fallback / second / third tries, etc. Every thing is in an intuitive UI and does not require any code.

Diego, are more processor integrations planned? also curious how pricing works for smaller teams.
@bouzadamanuel0934 Yeah definitely! Checkout.com, Rocketgate, and a few others are in the pipeline. Is there a specific one that you're looking for? If so we can ask the team to prioritize. We do have startup and enterprise pricing. Feel free to email me shawn@paymentkit.com and we can discuss / get you set up!

How does it handle situations where one payment provider goes down? Is the switch to another provider automatic?
Congrats @shawnsheikh & team!
@hamza_afzal_butt Yes, automatic. Every transaction tries your default processor first, and if it comes back a soft decline or the gateway is down, it cascades to the next processor in your priority order until it clears. No manual step, and the customer only ever experiences one attempt

@diego_vidal10 interesting. Thanks for letting me know. Will give it a try. Congrats on the successful launch!

Would it be possible to set custom rules like routing certain regions or payment type through specific processors?
@christian_onochie Definitely! We have this feature built in :) We also have this on the fraud side as well - you can block specific customers from specific regions or payment types.
Can recurring billing switch processors without touching customers?

@lucyjane It's extremely easy! You can swap processors in your processor settings within 5 - 10 seconds.
