Great Apis and culture. Really impressed with the ideas and execution. On the flip side, fairly hard to communicate with the Lago team, and have really struggled with transparency and quoting for upgrading our licence. Would really be great if they published pricing on their website. Overall a decent experience for open source software.

I'm discussing every week with SaaS founders and I very often mention the different SaaS I'm a business angel in. And Lago is one which is the "easy to sell" because founders immediately relate to the pain points of setting up a billing system. Billing should really be decoupled from payment providers for various reasons (billing system from PSP are often not customizable enough, easier to change PSPs etc...) and the open source model of Lago is a great choice for that.

Great alternative for Stripe

We started using Lago a few weeks ago (self hosted version) and the product is really amazing. You can customize really easily the plateform to suit your billing needs. Thay have a strong data model and api. And the team is quick to iterate, they ship new features very fast and listen to their customer (their slack workspace is the place to be if you have any question). Gret product, great team... upvoted!

Congratulations!!!!!! After having recently integrated, I am a huge fan. Billing can be so complicated, and the way Lago organises billing really helped us to better understand what we were trying to accomplish in the first place. We were able to build exactly what we wanted, and now have automated billing for each of our products.

Amazing team, and amazing software! Feature request, contributions everything is handled extremely professionally, and the software is a bliss to install, use and integrate with!
