ChatGPT is where a huge part of our users already live, so supporting its custom connectors was a priority from day one. The MCP integration meant we could bring Glasp highlights into ChatGPT with the same server we built for Claude, no separate integration work. For a two-person team, one protocol serving every major AI assistant is exactly the kind of leverage we need.

Claude was the first client we designed the Glasp MCP Connector for. Custom connectors with OAuth make the setup genuinely simple: our users paste one URL, authorize, and their highlights are searchable in chat. No tokens, no configuration. The way Claude handles tool results also stands out. It weaves retrieved highlights into answers naturally instead of just dumping them. As heavy Claude users ourselves, connecting our own reading memory to it was the moment this project clicked.

Claude CodeAnthropic’s deep-context AI coder
5.0 (595 reviews)
We built and shipped the Glasp MCP Connector largely with Claude Code. What mattered most was how well it handles a large codebase: it keeps deep context across our monorepo, plans multi-step changes, and runs tests on its own. It was also the perfect testbed for this launch, since Claude Code is itself an MCP client. We could build our MCP server and verify the whole experience in the same tool. It has become part of our daily workflow for everything from tutorials to production code.
