I've been thinking about this a lot lately, especially working on AINA.
Even a few years ago, job hunting meant tailoring your resume manually and preparing for interviews mostly alone (or with a friend, or sometimes a coach if you were ready to invest).
Now AI is everywhere in the process. Candidates use it to rewrite resumes, practice interviews, and figure out why their applications aren't landing. Recruiters use it to screen resumes, write job descriptions, and even run first-round interviews.

Is there just one coach personality, or do we have the choice?
AINA
@amraniyasser Great question! We actually tested different coach personalities and communication styles, and after a lot of user feedback, this is the version we decided to focus on for now. But we’re definitely thinking about giving users more options to choose from in the future.
What kind of coach personality or communication style would you personally prefer?

Can I revisit past session summaries?
AINA
@xanderiang Hi, Alexander!
Of course! All your session history is saved in your personal profile.
AINA
@xanderiang Thanks for your questsion!
AINA
@xanderiang Thanks for the question! Absolutely! It’s really useful to look back at previous sessions and see your progress over time.
@xanderiang One use case I personally love: before a real interview, you can reopen a past practice summary, revisit the gaps AINA highlighted, and compare it with your latest session. Over time, your profile becomes a career timeline showing how your answers, positioning, and priorities evolve.
Great! Is is Tavus API based?
AINA
@konstantin_tikhaev Interesting question - to be honest, we don’t use the Tavus API.
We use a different stack for our interview experienc
@kseniia_ponomareva i assumed it was Tavus becasue of the video quality, which makes the "real-time" performance even more impressive since building your own stack definitely gives you better control over the response times)
AINA
@konstantin_tikhaev Thank you! That really means a lot to us - especially coming from someone who noticed the real-time performance so closely. We really appreciate it!

Hi Product Hunt! 👋
Excited to share AINA today - it's the kind of tool I wish I'd had myself when job hunting.
You can talk to AINA like a real career consultation: just join the meeting like you would a normal call, with your camera on or off. Discuss your job search or practice for an upcoming interview.
If it's job search you want to talk through, just tell AINA about your current situation and what you're looking for. AINA will guide you through it with questions, just like a real coach would. In 10–20 minutes, you'll walk away with a plan and personalized recommendations.
It's free, and you can come back for another session anytime.
This is a new product, and we'd love any feedbackю It helps us ship what's actually needed 🙏

Happy launch! Do you plan to add a feature to analyze LinkedIn profiles too, not just CVs?
AINA
@artyom_zhuravlev Thanks, Artyom! You can actually do this already! When you create your profile in AINA, you can either add your LinkedIn profile or upload your CV, and AINA will analyze whichever one you choose.
@artyom_zhuravlev Great question! For us, the real value is helping people understand whether their LinkedIn positioning supports the role they want next - and where the gaps are. What would be most useful for you: role-specific feedback, profile scoring, or concrete suggestions for improvement?
Is the interview question customized according to an actual job description or a particular company or does AINA use a general approach in behavioral/technical interviewing?
Additionally, Congrats @netali_eu @kristina__grits & team AINA 🎊✌️
AINA
@aymi_malik Thanks so much, Muhammad! You can actually do both. You can go through a more general interview scenario, or give AINA the context of the role or vacancy you’re preparing for, the company, and the interview format. In that case, it will tailor the conversation and questions around your specific context.
@kristina__grits @aymi_malik One detail I’d add: AINA also adapts the depth and structure of the interview to the candidate’s seniority and experience. For senior and lead roles, it focuses more on strategy, trade-offs, and impact; for other roles, on relevant behavioral, technical, and situational skills. The result is a practice session shaped around the interview you’re actually preparing for.

Very interesting, better career coaching is even more necessary in the age when people mass-apply and mass-reject
@arseniy_shishaev1 Exactly. The volume on both sides keeps growing, and candidates need clarity more than ever: where they fit, why they’re not moving forward, and what to improve before the next interview.
That’s exactly the role we want AINA to play. What do you see as the bigger issue today: poor matching or the lack of meaningful feedback?
AINA
@arseniy_shishaev1 I see this a lot from the recruiting side too. More applications don’t necessarily make the process easier for either side. Helping candidates understand where they actually fit feels much more valuable than simply applying to more roles.
AINA
@arseniy_shishaev1 Completely agree with you Arseniy!
There’s so much information out there, but it’s very easy to get lost in all of it when you’re searching for a job on yur own..
People often need buddy and support, but personal career coaching can be expensive and stressful at a time when you’re already under pressure.
That’s why we wanted to create a more accessible and low-pressure option, I really hope it can be useful for people.
