If you've ever experimented with building a native Slack bot, you know the drill. Handling OAuth and webhooks, going through the reviews before publishing to the Marketplace is a nightmare.

make it simpler—and smarter. Choose your AI framework, install your agent on your Slack workspace, and voila. Your agent is ready in minutes with advanced, out-of-the-box features like auto-engage.

Less headaches, more focus work.

 Amazing!

Hey Product Hunt 👋

We’re the team behind , a backend-as-a-service built specifically for AI Agents.

The xpander agents platform helps developers and enterprises go from “cool demo” to production-grade agent deployments - with built-in state, tools, memory, execution infra, triggering layer, and observability. It's essentially the Supabase of AI agents.

🎉 Today, we’re launching our Slack integration layer - designed to make any custom AI Agent behave as a real teammate on Slack.

Instead of building Slack bots from scratch, dealing with message routing, threading, auth, retries, tool execution, and all the edge cases of connecting your agent to real-world systems, you plug your agent into xpander and get all of that as a service.

You can now connect any custom agent (whether built on OpenAI, Agno, LangChain, or something home-grown) and get a fully managed, Slack-native interface - including:

✅ Thread-level context

✅ Memory and state

✅ Interactive buttons

✅ Tool invocation (end-to-end auth with Oauth2)

✅ Zero infra or dev work required

🤖 Already built a custom AI Agent? Bring your existing agent logic and connect it to Slack in just a few steps.

🛠️ Starting from scratch? Build your agent in our low-code Agent Workbench and get a fully powered agent running in Slack in under an hour.

We make your agent feel like a real teammate inside Slack.

🚀 To make it even easier to get started, we’re launching with several prebuilt agents you can use right away (and easily customize) in your own Slack workspace, your community support workspace, or even shared customer channels:

1. Support Agent – Answers support questions about your products from your docs or knowledge base, creates tickets, and books meetings via tool calling.

2. Docs agent – Integrated with your Mintlify product docs, so you can use it to automatically answer product questions in your customer support channels or community workspace.

3. Coding Agent – Powered by Claude Code, this agent can generate, review, and refactor code. Ideal for automating coding tasks, implementing logic, and improving developer productivity by running coding agents in the cloud.

Deploy in minutes from

This has been one of our most requested features, especially from dev teams that understand the value of having their Custom AI Agents live in Slack, but didn't want to go through building that integration layer.

We’re just getting started with this massive capability - would love your feedback and questions! We'll be here all day 👇

really neat product, Ran. keep up the great work!

On point, what Slack agents present.

Are you building a custom AI agent but struggling with agents that actually work in the real world? let you chat with AI directly in Slack, getting instant answers in your workspace.

My mind was blown by what we've built here 🤯

Meet our Slack-native agents: your new AI-powered teammate who actually shows up where you work. No more app-hopping, no more setup nightmares. Just drop your question in any channel(with auto-engage feature) or DM(to App), and your AI agent responds right there, like a real colleague who never takes a coffee break.

Here’s why it’s a game-changer:

Zero onboarding pain. Install and start chatting like a teammate, no infrastructure problems.

Context-aware. The agent remembers your conversations and can use tools, trigger actions, or even book meetings for you.

Stay in flow. Everything happens right inside Slack, so your team’s focus (and sanity) is preserved.

Honestly, it feels less like using a tool and more like having a helpful, never-annoyed teammate. And isn’t that what we all need?

spot on!
❤️

Xpander makes Slack feel smarter quick replies, helpful summaries, and no more endless scrolling. Feels like a real upgrade.

thanks! let us know how it goes after you try it out 🙂

amazing! ooc - what’s your #1 use case?
Do try out, Let me know if you're looking for any help to get started.

No way, finally AI teammates living right inside Slack! My team juggles a million threads—having agents natively in our workflow would seriously save us so much context switching. How customizable are the agents?

Exactly, That's the pain is solved by xpander slack agents - don't miss the auto-enagage feature which allows to forget about your support agent once created, your users can just ask queries in slack channel and agent will automatically answer them without `@`

GOAT feature

The beautiful thing is - these are 100% Custom AI Agents - meaning you can build or import any type of powerful agent inside and then push it into Slack. I'm talking tools, memory and storage, local and remote MCPs, your own custom logic - everything works out of the box :) let us know how it goes after you check it out!

Super handy! Love how simple this makes AI agent integration.

Create workflows, Integrate LLMs, Deploy model on xpander as a slack agent, configure - Done 🚀

it “just works”

 Thanks! we appreciate it!

Simplest solution for enabling Slack AI integrations, and I have looked at many. Kudos to the team

On point.

Thanks! let me know how it goes after you try it out 🙂 here to help!

 appreciate it! 💜

frame this, ?makers

Would be interesting to have this as a service for agent builders, to outsource the slack Frontend and just use xpander as a service for communication to slack (and if you grow horizontally to teams and others)

spot on! is really a backend for agents :)

 Yes! correct.

Alright, then let's test it with our Zentrik agents!

Amazing work folks I have used xpander for building ai agents and it's super easy to use this to connect to so many tools. Amazing launch super excited to build apps

Glad you liked it. Would love to share what you build.

 framing this! cc ?makers

Love how easy it is to handle multimodal inputs to the slack app on the agents! What do you use for transcription?

thanks! The Slack Agents by default are currently using OpenAI Whisper, but we're always evaluating new things to optimize.
