Hi all. I'm the founder of Wishfinity, and we want to eliminate the $15B in annual waste of unwanted gifts. 2020 has been difficult enough — so don't make family and friends guess what to gift you this holiday season. Make it easy for them by sharing exactly what you want. Our app allows you to list everything you wish, no matter the source, for free. Conversely, ask for their universal "WishLink" too so that you can provide the right present every time. Whenever you think of something you want, push it into your master wishlist. You can share-to-Wishfinity from mobile, paste URLs, add photos, browse hundreds of retailers from within the app, or just freeform enter anything you wish. As your wish companion, you'll always have a list ready for the holidays, your birthday, Mother's/Father's Day, Valentine's, or any other gifting event. Couples can also use it as a registry for weddings, new baby, or housewarming. And groups can use it for fundraising the equipment, materials, or other supplies they need. We hope your wishes come true! So let us know any questions or ideas you may have. FREE FOR PRODUCT HUNT iOS App: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/wi... Android App: https://play.google.com/store/ap... @leebellon I love this! This concept can definitely be applied year round! I'll love to test out Wishfinty and possible write an Article on it! Let me know what you think.

@leebellon @wishfinity I'm not too big on Twitter--yet. I'll send you an e-mail! =)
Highly recommend and absolutely biased! Just last week I received a surprise gift shipment from my wishlist––pure delight! And I'm not a person who does gifts/gifting occasions. More and more I realize that's about my gifting trauma and severe dread of obligatory gifts that I hate, have zero use for, and I am expected to gush/swoon over. Anyone else have a range of emotions or issues tied to gifting?
Lee Bellon
@happy2smile247 Glad the system worked for one of our most challenging customer types. 😆 Providing unwanted and useless gifts should be a misdemeanor. It's like littering. However, once someone receives a gift that they actually want, pretending to like it is no longer needed. Swoon will happen naturally!
@happy2smile247 @leebellon I suppose there's irony in the fact that it's easier to be delighted as an influencer getting a perk than it is to receive a well-intentioned and badly chosen gift by someone who supposedly knows you. #mostdifficultme

@happy2smile247 @frankie27 what's the best perk, swag, or unexpected gift you've ever gotten from a client?
Francisco Sebastian
@happy2smile247 Not from this app... but it was 3 years ago during an in-person Secret Santa, I actually received someone's sort of brand new sweater (yes, like in the episode from The Office)! He made up for it the following week. =p

I like this! Especially handy coming up to Christmas, is there any categorization of wishes? Say, separate your wishlist by price etc?
Lee Bellon
@aaronoleary Thank you! Yes, you can sort any Wishfinity wishlist by price and date. And when viewing all your family and friends in aggregate, you can also sort by name alphabetically. In the future, we'll provide multi-selection filtering as well.

Nice idea, but we absolutely need a chrome extension to save quickly the items we're watching. 😉
Lee Bellon
@hyde Yes! We need to hop on that. Thanks for the feedback, Alex! 👍
Lee Bellon
@hyde Browser extensions are here: https://bit.ly/2N2mbZ7 Thanks for the suggestion!

Wishfinity removes the stress from gift giving! Especially if you're not a "Joanna Gaines" and struggle with what to get someone. Everyone ends up HAPPY - woo hoo!!
Lee Bellon
@andelyons Thanks so much! Even Joanna could add shiplap to her universal wishlist. 😆
Ande Lyons
@leebellon YES! Brilliant suggestion!!!

Very timely release prior to the holiday season! Congratulations for creating this. Is it possible to create a wishlist for individual people rather than a really broad one that goes out to everyone? E.g one for family, one for friends, one for coworkers etc?
Lee Bellon
@lloydjanes Thanks. This is next on the roadmap. 😅 Glad our assumption about current gaps align with your feedback. In the meantime, you can share specific wishes instead of your entire wishlist.

Really awesome concept! I like that you’re doing good for the planet through helping people get what they actually wish for.
Lee Bellon
@caitlin_clarke Appreciate that perspective. Maintaining a universal wishlist can actually reduce hyper-consumerism. It allows folks to pause before they buy and prioritize what they really want. And of course when it comes to gifting, reduce the waste of unwanted presents as well.

Looks great, and just in time for the holidays! Thanks for putting this together.
Lee Bellon
@doug_griffin Thank you for these kind words. Yes! Just in time for Singles’ Day tomorrow, Diwali this weekend — then Hanukkah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa next month.

This is all we need for the holiday season. But I'm wondering how to prevent it if someone shares his/her birthday wishlist but then ends up with 4 same gifts from 4 different people? He/she receives 4 exact items because of what others see on his/her first place wish. But overall it's an awesome concept, lee
Lee Bellon
@yoseson Great question! The service currently works similar to a registry – meaning, family and friends "claim" an item that they're gifting. That way, other loved ones won't gift the same item.
