The Virtual Boy (Originally known as VR-32) is a 32-bit table-top 3D video game console developed and manufactured by Nintendo. It was marketed as the first "portable" video game console capable of displaying "true 3D graphics" out of the box.
I had a Virtual Boy back in the day - it actually had a few excellent games: including Wario Land and the first Mario Tennis. The system would prompt you to take a break every 20 minutes or so to rest your eyes (which everyone would ignore, kind of like Passenger Mode on Waze). The 3D experience was pretty impressive, but I think it was really hard for people to get past the idea of playing games in just red and black.
