We've been using Weld at Corti for a couple of months now and are very happy with both the product and the collaboration with the team. Before deciding to build our BI capabilities with Weld I evaluated a number of other options and in the end determined Weld to be the best both because the tool enabled us to have the flexibility and robustness we needed to define our metrics and add new data sources in the future, and I knew we could rely on a strong data engineering team from Weld to help set everything up. We are now up and running with out dashboard showing our commercial performance, with the whole company having access to them and key stakeholders using them daily to steer the team and make decisions. Highly recommend this product!

@anna_anttila Thanks for the support! We're so excited to be working with you and have lots of features in the pipeline that I think you will find cool, such as end-to-end observability of the data stack. All the best to you and the team Talk soon!

@anna_anttila Hey ! Congrats on the launch . Keep going 🚀

Hi, I’m Jake. 😊 A few years ago while working at a fast-growing SaaS company, my colleagues and I ran into a problem. We were working hard to unify data from 100+ SaaS tools, databases, and spreadsheets in order to get real commercial value from our company data — but we quickly realized this was much easier said than done. Caught in the complexity of a disconnected data stack (we implemented over 10 new data tools), our data team started to get confused and forgot why we started the data journey in the first place. The goal became to build a working “stack” and not to bring business value. This is why we decided to build Weld, a complete data platform to run your company’s core data operations from one single place, built on top of your data warehouse. With Weld, you get 3 different systems in one: 1. ELT: Sync data from various sources into your data warehouse through the pre-built connectors and custom sync configurations – up to every minute 2. Data modelling: An in-app modelling tool with smart autocomplete, version control, lineage, templates and a best-in-class collaborative SQL editor. 3. Reverse-ETL: Activate your data through reverse-ETL to bring core data points from your models into your SaaS apps. Our mission is to accelerate the road to trustworthy metrics and enable every company to make data-driven decisions. Today, dozens of companies like Contractbook, Monta, Son Of A Tailor, Nøie, Seon, Juni, Soundboks and more are using Weld as their data platform, embedding data into how they do business and creating true data cultures across their teams. Want to see the power of Weld for yourself? Sign up free today to get 30% off for your first 6 months. Leave us a comment below and share your thoughts! What are your data challenges? How do you use data at work? What do you think of our website? We’re looking forward to hearing from you :) – Jake

@heyjakobcom Congratulations to the launch! Will try out the starter plan first! Out of curiosity, are iPaaS integrations on the roadmap, or will you focus on direct/native integrations?
Jakob Kristensen
Hey @torsten_p ! Cool, would love to hear your feedback once you try the product - and thanks for the question. We only focus on data warehousing & analytics, i.e. offering ETL, modelling and Reverse-ETL. For automation/iPaaS we recommend using e.g. Zapier, n8n or Tray. However, if you have problems with "iPaaS spaghetti" or trusting the metrics you push around from tool to tool, I would recommend looking into a data warehouse solution as your source of truth.

Great product with even greater people behind it!

Thanks @jakob_hofer1 ! Really appreciate your support 🙌

As a fast growing scale-up, Anyline has had problems making data-driven decisions in the past - due to a multitude of data sources and unaligned "truths". We started our cooperation with Weld late last year and have since significantly improved our understanding of the sources we are dealing with. Aside from being highly responsive and solution-oriented, the project team has been a pleasure to work with. Bringing a sound understanding to the table of how to look at data, they have also made a great effort enabling our own staff. Looking forward to our cooperation and many more successfully implemented use cases!
Jakob Kristensen
@kathi_m Thanks so much for your nice comment. The whole team really appreciates it and are equally excited about all the future data use cases at Anyline!

Absolute game changer for me as a data analyst at Linkfire. Being able to easily get data into Snowflake without the dependency on a data engineer, and then easily pushing it back out again is invaluable. Most importantly, Weld has helped us with our understanding of data and analytics architecture. Having all the respective sources of truth in one system and then being able to combine them, and query them within seconds also makes me as an analyst a lot more productive as I have no downtime in waiting for data transformations. Besides the product, the team needs a massive applause. They answer super quickly whenever we have any questions or problems or features requests. They are very honest where their product cannot deliver yet, and always put in a massive effort to deliver new features where needed. As a customer we feel extremely valued.

@sebastian_ten_berge Thanks so much! We've enjoyed working with your team a lot, providing so much great feedback. I can't wait to show you our upcoming features on data modelling and observability!

As a previous Analytics guy who had to hack lots of different weird solutions to bring my stuff together (apparently known as ETL) it's always been difficult to explain why and it made me feel like I was failing. It's so awesome that you guys are fixing that, and giving other data hungry peeps the time to work on understanding the data and not waste time just stitching things together. From the first days of Mixpanel & Kissmetrics, to the plethora of tools we have today - it's sure been a bumpy ride! It's not going to be smooth sailing for sure, but damn is it a brave new Weld out there!
Jakob Kristensen
@gidea I can definitely relate to that! It should be so much simpler to get a trustworthy data warehouse running than today and we hope to be part of the solution 🙌
Jakob Marovt
So cool, congrats on the launch guys! Still remember just the two of you hacking on this in the early days - crazy how far you've gotten and the scope of things you cover now. It's becoming a no-brainer really for any scaling startup. 👏🏻
Jakob Kristensen
@jmarovt Thanks my friend!! And for all your support since day 0 💪

I am so happy with this release going on! I’m really proud of the team, we did some amazing work, and hearing all the user feedback today was more-than-precious! We are a heavily customer-centric company so there will be tons of valuable upgrades that came out of this exact moment today! IMHO, Weld should be in every company in the world, having the correct tool for the data you have is invaluable. In fact we at Weld, are using Weld ourselves! 👨🏻‍🚀
Jakob Kristensen
@markomitranic It's so awesome to have you on the team 🤩 💪
Farokh Shahabi
Nice job guys! do you have an easy way to integrate third party databases like Formaloo as data sources here?
Jakob Skytte
@farokh_shahabi Thanks Farokh! 🙏 Our roadmap is always quite open for new integrations that's requested by our customers. We are also currently working on an easy way to build your own custom integrations directly in the app using our framework. Would love to follow-up on this with you.
Farokh Shahabi
@mrskytte Great! Looking forward to it ;) You can reach me via farokh at formaloo

I've been using Weld for around 2 months now. It's the first time for me to use an ETL app, since in the past I always used a customly made ETL framework. Sometimes it can be a hassle to build a framework from scratch. Now, I'm using Weld, it helps a lot in accelerating my work! Just need to choose the connector, adding some details, choose required tables, start the sync, and voila! I have my data in the data warehouse in a few minutes. That's really amazing. Moreover, Weld has 1 minute sync, which will make our data become near real time. The most lovely thing is, the support team is always fast in responding our messages. They're really helpful when we have some questions, troubles, or even requests. Overall, Weld is a recommended platform if you want to setup ETL processes from various sources.
Jakob Kristensen
@demsyiman We've loved working with the Contractbook team from day 1! Appreciate your support and can't wait to show you our upcoming features 🙌
