I love it! Congrats, very useful app!
Looks great and very handy! One question: does Warp support opening a default preset at the startup of the Mac?
Hiya! Right now, you'll have to manually launch a preset by going to the menu bar or inputing a keyboard shortcut. However, having the option to launch a preset at startup is a great idea Added to the list of todos 😄
Great! Would make Warp just about perfect. Thanks!
because warp supports global hotkey, you can create an Automator action as an app to load as a login item and it will do what you want. It is obviously a workaround, but it means that warp can be somewhat automated (it’d be great if it could have Shortcuts actions as well, or Automator/applecript dictionary items for old school folks as well).
I have been using Warp for weeks now and I’m loving both the app and the constant improvements I see coming. A feature request: I’d love to integrate Warp presets with some Keyboard Maestro macros, so AppleScript support (or Shortcuts) would be very welcome!
Ooo great idea! Adding to the list of todos
didn’t notice your remark and mentioned the same thing elsewhere here. Great stuff!
Ok, so here I am spending 10 minutes of my time. Why? Because I think Warp has fixed my 4-monitor, window setup needs by 80%. Through the years, I have tried Mosaic, BTT, KM, and Moom, and I am sticking with Warp. It works. I have 4 presets for different needs, arranging 8-10 windows in different ways. I use the menu bar or a LoupeDeck two of buttons. What is to be improved? It could be faster. Sometimes it takes a few seconds too long to get things in place. Looking forward to see if it can also do things with Spaces or how it holds up when Stage manager comes... but for now it is what I use.
Hey Manuel, thanks for the kind words! Expect an update soon that will drastically improve window restoration speeds 😎
Well... after all is called... Warp!
Hey everyone 👋 Thanks for swinging by! I can't tell you how excited I am to finally tell the world about Warp. I created Warp because one day I asked myself the question "Why can't my computer know exactly how I want my Desktop set up every time I sit at my desk?" With Warp, you can 1️⃣ Arrange windows to your liking 2️⃣ Click "Create preset" 3️⃣ Activate preset to launch & snap windows into their saved locations Warp is able to do this because it... 🖥️ Supports multiple monitors 🧠 Knows the exact size, position, and the monitor a window belongs to ✨ Launch multiple windows of a single application 🪞 Render pixel accurate representation of a preset you've created This initial release of Warp is a small step towards a grander vision; a Desktop that isn't just a static canvas but an entity that knows exactly how you like work. I'm insanely excited to hear y'alls feedback and please give me a shout if you have any questions or feedback. Thanks 😎
super cool! Will this integration with Focus Modes? That seems like a must have!
cool idea! Will think about it for Warp 2.0 😎
This is interesting, never though a solution would appear for it. Congratulations on the launch! Like says, default preset at the start would be great as well :)
thanks Jules and yes, thinking about looking into adding support for this in upcoming versions :)
Thanks! One more for the request section: would it be possible to update/edit a preset? I had to do a delete and create new preset to 'edit' a saved preset.
This is amazing, there are times when I spend a minute or two rearranging the desktop to how I remember it from my general work setting
Congrats on the launch. Just purchased. Looks really helpful.
Hope you enjoy it! Would love to hear what you think about it :)
This is what I have always wanted
Been using warp for a number of weeks now... perfect for what I need, and the dev is very happy to answer questions, and take in feedback... VERY happy with this app
Hey Neil! Thanks for your kind words and glad to hear Warp is working out for you :)
