Deliver a modern video editing experience to your users running, entirely in the browser. Arrange videos on a timeline, trim and crop to the wanted duration and format, and overlay audio tracks.
Hey Hunters,
In the past two years, the use of web video editing has been on the rise. Developing such a tech can be challenging though, as it requires solving complex issues related to video and audio encoding, not to mention the UI flows required for trimming, cropping and composing videos. As some of you might know: all this takes a significant amount of time and effort to be built.
Starting today, this work will be reduced to few lines of code with our new Video Editor for web library. Our SDK enables developers to create powerful and simple to use web based video editors with ease.
We cut no corners building on cutting-edge web technologies WebAssembly, and WebCodecs to make the web SDK rival any current desktop experience in robustness and performance.
The best part? The video editor is built using our CreativeEditor that means you can customize the UI and design editing features, and we are working on bringing template-based workflows and automation to video as well. So please stay tuned.
Do note that this is a beta release and only works in Chromium based browsers on the desktop. Sign up on our website to be notified when we ship updates.
Thanks for your support!

@danielhauschil1 Thank you for sharing this exciting news! It sounds like your Video Editor SDK is going to be a great tool for web developers. We can't wait to see what amazing projects will come out of it!
@sippndipp Thank you! It was a lot of work and our goal is that other app developers don't have to go through this and have a competitive advantage using our SDK and just drop in Video Editing where and when needed.

This looks soo complete and slick! Congrats👏👏. QQ: What is the maximum resolution (4k, 2k) of each video on a scene with multiple videos?
Hey there, a really great editor you got us there. Looks promising, and it is nice and easy to handle.
A quick question, will it be possible to fade between two "video-pages" later on?
Regards and good luck with your new product.

@marvwhere Yes, absolutely! This is just our very first beta release and we'll keep adding advanced video features like transitions and animations next year.

@padschneider sounds great. I am looking forward to it, as it is a feature I regularly use to create some short movies.
omg ...this looks really neat! Will you support keyframing and animations? 😍
Report
@robin_bohm1 Great question, keyframing, and animation are both on our roadmap for 2023

@danielhauschil1 Wow! Probably a lot of work has been done to optimize the load during rendering. Great project!
Report
@danielhauschil1@imarshev Thank you so much! Well, the feature is currently in beta and we still continue to improve things. 😊 But to give an example for a specific optimization: the WebCodecs API lets us decode video frames straight to YUV textures for rendering. This lets us avoid expensive copies to CPU memory and makes rendering smooth.

Your image editor SDK was always our first choice when customers demanded image editing.
Hyped for first project with the video editor.
