Hi everyone! It is my first product on ProductHunt. I have deep marketing experience, but I have no idea how to code. This bot was a challenge for me to create a product from scratch in 24 hours (I spent 16 hours). I used the basic approach of building products, but spend a lot of time trying to figure out how to solve my problems (for sure, it would be way easier to find a developer, but it's not so exciting). 1. Idea It was clear that it's hard to develop products from scratch, even the simplest ones, so I started with the ideas for chatbots. I created 5-10 ideas and chose a simple one in terms of development. There was no time to do customer development and research, so it was my inquiry, to make a habit of summarizing the day constant and uncomplicated. 2. Product Initially, I decided to find bot constructors, but I checked a few, and none of them can't do repetitive actions (to send the same sequence every day). Then I moved to learn Python, trying to compile something from the Internet. It worked on my Mac, but then I tried to create a serverless bot via Amazon Lambda and spent a lot of time there. In the end, I realized that time is running out, and I need to find other solutions. So I checked a few more constructors and found one which creates the functionality I needed (I hope for because I don't have enough data at the moment). 3. Marketing It was the most straightforward part for me. I created a simple landing page via free services, made a few screenshots, created a short video, which helps to understand how the product works. Also, I have my Telegram channels, where I scheduled an ad post for tomorrow. (but there is no time to send the text to native proofreaders before the publication on ProductHunt). As for my experience of creating products in less than 24 hours, I found it valuable. For sure, it's not enough to build even a sufficient MVP, but there are a lot of entrepreneurs who spend months thinking about ideas or trying to build MVP for years. By this challenge, I wanted to show myself that we usually overthink. Sometimes it's better to find a few days, organize a personal hackathon, and validate the idea by talking to users, build the simplest MVP, etc. Thanks a lot ☺️
