Pivoted to Therapists & SMBs + New Features Released 🚀
Hey Product Hunters 👋
A few weeks ago, I launched Calendexa, a scheduling tool that attempted to compete broadly by being “cheaper / better reminders.” But I got a loud wake-up call from communities like Reddit and IndieHackers: that direction was too generic.
So I pivoted. And fast. Here’s what we’ve done in the last 2 weeks:
✅ Niche shift — now focusing on therapists & small service businesses (coaches, tutors, clinics)
✅ Landing & messaging revamp — new hero, feature cards (no-show tracking, post-session emails, compliance messaging)
✅ Reports & analytics — client attendance rates, top no-show clients, cancellation charts
✅ Post-appointment automations — thank you, review invites, no-show recovery flows
✅ Compliance posture — messaging around HIPAA / data privacy & trust features
✅ Pricing & plan enforcement updates — clearer limits and upgrade paths for Starter vs Pro
Here’s the [live site / link] to see the changes: https://calendexa.com
👉 Why this pivot? Because generic scheduling SaaSes are a race to the bottom. I want Calendexa to be the tool therapists actually love, not just another reminder app.
Would love feedback from you:
• Does this niche feel meaningful or still too broad?
• Which feature feels the most compelling?
• What’s stopping you from switching from Calendly/Acuity to something niche?
Let’s discuss — every piece of feedback helps me build something better.
Thank you, and excited to see what we can build together!
— Tolga
