Obsessed with a very unglamorous problem ...

by•

Hey everyone 👋 I’m Olivier.

I’m a builder coming from B2B SaaS sales who got obsessed with a very unglamorous problem: paperwork chaos in field service and home trades.

I didn’t wake up wanting to “disrupt” anything. I kept seeing the same pattern over and over with owner-operators ... great at their craft, terrible tools for turning real work (photos, notes, voice memos) into clean estimates, change orders, and invoices. The result wasn’t just annoyance, it was missed billable work and slow cash flow. (... got that from my medical billing sales experience with physicians)

That frustration led me to build Bracework.

The idea is intentionally boring in the best way:

  • No new workflows to learn

  • No client portals

  • No forcing people to “be more organized”

Just take what already happens on a job site - photos, voice notes, quick texts - and turn it into professional documents you can actually send.

I’m early, still learning fast, and very much in builder mode. Product Hunt has been a great place to read honest stories, so I figured I’d contribute one and connect with others working on real, messy problems.

If you’re building:

  • tools for non-desk workers

  • workflow software that has to survive real-world chaos

  • or anything born from firsthand pain

I’d love to trade notes.

Happy to answer questions about Bracework, validation, pricing experiments, or what not to do when building for people who don’t want more software in their lives.
