Making interactive books with AI
Hi everyone! đź‘‹
I’m a founder of MobiDB and today I'm launching new product for teachers Akkem Study. I got the idea of creating a tool for building interactive lessons during German study. I wanted a simple way to turn any text—like exam papers or articles—into interactive lessons (mainly quizzes and fillblanks) with exercises, powered by AI. So I built this tool!
You can write lessons in Markdown, organize them into folders, and publish them instantly via GitHub Pages (just make sure your repo is public—that’s a GitHub Pages requirement). For security, the app requires registration: it protects your GitHub and AI tokens, which are too risky to store in browser local storage.
Some cool features you’ll find:
generate theory & exercises with AI (works with popular AI models, and others—you can even copy the prompt and use it elsewhere (in qwen or deepseek for free)!)
Interactive video with checkpoints
Dialog-based exercises (best voices: Microsoft’s in Edge Desktop browser)
Conversion plain text into fill-in-the-blank, multiple-choice, and matching tasks with AI
Check out the live demos on the homepage to see it in action!
P.S. If you're cautious about GitHub access, feel free to use a separate account—it’s totally understandable.
Thanks for checking it out! 🙌
