I built a Notion-to-Canva carousel tool
Helloo Product Hunt!
I've been building ContourAI — basically, it connects your Notion workspace to your Canva account. You write your content ideas as notes in a Notion database, check a box, and AI generates a professional carousel in Canva. Fully editable, ready to post on LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, wherever.
The thing is, I've been building this mostly in my own bubble. And I know that's a dangerous place to stay.
So I'm here because I genuinely want to hear from people who use Notion and Canva, especially if you're already creating content for social media. I have a few questions, and honestly, even one answer from you would help me a lot.
On templates:
Right now we have a set of carousel templates designed by real designers (not generic Canva stuff). But I want to know what styles are you actually looking for? Educational? Bold and punchy? Minimalist? Something specific to your niche? If you could describe your dream carousel template, what would it look like?
On the integration:
The whole idea is that you never leave Notion. You write there, you trigger the generation there, and the carousel just appears in your Canva account. For those of you who already use Notion for content planning — does that workflow make sense? What would make it feel more seamless?
On AI-generated content:
The AI is fine-tuned to write carousel copy in different tones of voice — casual, professional, bold, educational. You can even teach it your brand's voice. I'd love feedback on our model's fine tunning on storytelling, template and voice matching.
On what to build next:
I have a roadmap, but I'd rather build what people actually need. Some ideas on the table: scheduling integration, analytics on carousel performance, more template categories, video carousel support. What would make you go from "interesting" to "I need this"?
If you want to try it, we have a free plan (3 carousels/month, works with Canva Free): contourai.app
And if you want to go deeper, I'm offering 6 months free to beta users who help shape the product. Just use the code BETAUSER at signup.
I'm not here to sell — I'm here to learn. Would love to hear your thoughts, even if it's just "I'd never use this because ___". That's valuable too.
Cheers,
